Question about subtle body

When one has a "glimpse" does this subtle body evaporate all at once? Or is it in stages?

my body often shakes on it's own when I'm High. Feels like muscles opening and relaxing. Is that what this subtle body energy is?

 

I suppose when you have a total ego death like eckhart Tolle, the body is fully instantly let go of at once.

Vs if someone has an awakening or even full realization / liberation, it may happen in series of releases?
