Be silent. Don't force your opinion on people. Don't discuss it much unless people ask.

Doing charity work will bring a sense of gratification to you, do it if you feel like you want to.

Simply if you practice meditation, you will know. You cant miss that kind of progress, if you just sit and think about yourself you will know in a instant how much  'mental' change you did, and how different you every day is.

If you dont see it then probably you fell in trap of 'ego' and what your mind do best, tricks.
