Collection Of "plot-twists" In Learning.

1 post in this topic

I've created another thread about mindfucks,
but some people didn't understand what do I mean by a mindfuck.
So here we are with the same thread,
but now with exact definition of what mindfuck is.

Mindfuck: a "plot-twist" in learning process.
It basicly the situation when you think that something is this way
and you think or even can prove that it cannot be other way around,
but at the end it turns out to be the other way around.
The situation when counter-intuitive wins intuitive.

Ps I am kinda confused about this because I thought that I would get tons of these, but there was only a few ._.

When I was beginner at learning English,
I used to struggle a lot with memorizing new words.
I tried it all: I did research on how to memorize new stuff,
I tried to create some methods myself and I was still struggling with it.
And when I was completely feed up with this and I cannot continue anymore,
I snapped and stoped try to memorize new words at all
and I started to just consume some content in English
and if I encounter a situation when I don't know some word,
I don't try to memorize it anymore, I just lool up to the dictionary
the meaning and that's it.
And after awhile I realized that this is the best method to memorize
new words: I just need to consume a lot of content and
because to the amount over time I started repeatedly see the same words I don't know, so I could memorize them.

So now I am wonder what kinda mindfuck I will get next time,
because in that time it turns out like magic,
because I kinda don't need to do anything and the work gets done.

Ps sry for rambling I wish I would be a better writer.
