How Does One Know When They Have Truly Found Their Passion?

3 posts in this topic

I feel that I have come to a crossroads in life. One of those roads is pursuing what I have thought to be my passion, which is creating and sharing music.

The other road is sidelining music to explore what else is out there. Lately I have had doubts about whether or not music is truly a passion of mine. Is it just something that I enjoy doing occasionally? Only sometimes do I wake up with a sense of renewal, thirsting to get back to the songs I am creating. It could also just be that I am heavily distracted by all the social media, games, porn, etc.

I have several questions that I would like to get others insight on.

1.) How do you know that your passion is really your passion?

2.) Is it possible / okay to have more than one passion and to pursue multiple passions?

3.) When it comes to your passion, do you wake up with a drive to continue pursuing your passion in a meaningful way?

@nice shot  I think sometimes the thing we're most passionate about is the thing we have a hard time grabbing onto. You can have many passions but what is the passion that runs the deepest for you? Whats the thing you want in your life over anything else?

I've noticed that passions sort of link together down to one common thread. Ask yourself why you're passionate about certain things in your life and find the common ground between them all.

This is great advice and certainly something I was looking for. Thank you.
