Baad 5 meo trip

[Sammy123]

Hello. My first trip was not like anything I’ve heard others talk about. I think it was a bad trip. I felt the intensity of the 5 meo working on me but I started to realise mid trip this wasn’t okay for me to do alone (fear). So instead of stay put, I ran to my neighbour for her to help me. I needed company. I could see white light in my vision but it was muddied by black spots. I took 9mg 5 meo in my butt. Where have I gone wrong and will more preparation and ceremonies until I get break throughs help, or do I need to do a lot more self development before hand. Ive had depression for a while so maybe thats why? But I’ve also seen people talk about 5 meo healing their PTSD and depression. Did I not take enough? Meaningful advice would be good.

Never run anywhere once you're in the trip. Others can't help you anyway.

You need to muster the bravery to sit through the trip. Nothing bad will happen. When you start panicking and trying to run away from it, that's when really bad things can happen.

Look, 5-MeO is an extremely potent chemical. It will be scary at first. After 10 or so trips it becomes less scary.

If you need company so badly, then don't trip alone, arrange for a trip-sitter.

Discipline yourself to sit still and not run around. Treat each trip like a meditation session. You sit and you meditate. This takes discipline and training. Taking a psychedelic is not a license to party and do anything you please.

Thank you. It felt like a violent psychological experience but i'm keen to keep trying. Do you think i need to heal from depression entirely before tripping

1) Yes, it is a violent increase in consciousness. That's the point. That's why it is so effective and valuable. Don't worry, just have faith that it will be okay. It will not kill you at such low doses.

2) Hard to say about your depression. Depends on so many factors. I doubt you will be able to just heal entirely from your depression, so might as well try 5-MeO. It can help with that too. You don't need to have your depression fixed, but you need to have bravery and some self-discipline about how you trip. If your depression means that you can't be brave and you can't control your behavior, then don't trip until you get it under control. You're not going to face God without facing some fear.
