New Hobby "Drawing your surroundings"

2 posts in this topic

When you start looking at drawings from Van Gogh or other famous artists. You'll realize why they are beautiful. That's because they are so detailed that you feel that they are real and come to life.

After/during doing your meditation sit with a pen and a paper, Observe your surroundings carefully. Focus on a detail on your surrounding , try to capture that detail with all your senses , then draw it . Look at an object carefully try to draw it exactly as it is . Don't try to come up with your own drawing just draw what you see, Look carefully , observe & feel ur surroundings and draw them in Details , the tiniest details draw them.

Look at your drawing after you finish. That's Amazing.

Creativity is Openness Forced to converge.

One exercise I do @Nick_98: Eyes open, take in the full purview of my environment. Look at the centre of my awareness but through my peripheral vision. Identify patterns across everything encompassed by my vision inclusive of my awareness (and therefore experienced patterns within my being and body).

Creativity is at the nexus of those patterns, and the modality of that creativity is just what you want it to be, so if we took your case, any kind of visual art say.

I do this with my eyes closed as well, but for beginners struggling to learn to have their inner dream world naturally unfold automatically without trying this is a good indirect way to at least practice what you would internally as well.

Keep rocking it, keep sharing your insights. There's many creative people on the forum, they just don't always comment.
