Yes, but that’s never going to happen because humans are selfish. Everyone I’ve spoken to including my own children when I introduce them to the concept of nonduality, they’ve listened for awhile but have very limited tolerance to hear the message and consequently shut me off, saying I’m getting too deep or too philosophical and it’s as if it’s a taboo subject to talk about.

My brother who I revere as being quite open to new ideas didn’t even know what nondualism meant. He said he’d never heard of it when I first mentioned it to him. I’m convinced most people walking around have never heard of nondualism.

It’s hard to believe in this day and age of the internet, but maybe people are just not that interested in things like that.

My brother said to me that no one knows anything anyway and that we’re all just muddling through a life blindly that we know nothing about because no one has ever been alive before, so what’s the use of trying to figure out who we are, or why we’re here, because no one will ever know and there’s never any answers anyway.

How old were your children when you tried telling them about nonduality ?

(Usually kids rebel. Rupert Spira's father was a banker. Rupert became a potter. And now his son is a banker lol)

Yeah, I guess people are just trying to survive. I wouldn't say I was less selfish than most. Sometimes life just kind of forces awakening on you in a way.

I must say this is why I find Emerson's work quite encouraging. It even seems to make sense to some normies.

Maybe I'm naive, but I sense there will be tremendous suffering in the next few years, which might actually force a lot of people towards awakening.

(Are you like a HSP - highly sensitive person ? My wife is one, life seems to be extra challenging for her, ie because she feels so much.)

My 3 boys weren’t having any of it, but my daughter she’s really clued up about it and is choosing the life of a monk, staying single forever with zero desire to want children, she was able to see through the farce of legalised slavery that is marriage and children, sorry for sounding too negative, but she saw the trap at a very early age. She’s happy in her own world having no one else to answer to or care for.

I remember crying my heart out the first time I watched the film BORNFREE the lion film. 

That film traumatised the life out of me, I don’t think I ever recovered.
