Ever notice how being too horny or obsessed with sex is a huge turn off for both men and women? It seems the perfect balance has to be found between wanting and trying to get sex and it's opposite. Think about it, those that aren't interested in sex never get it and those who are constantly looking for it will turn many people off and even gross them out in the process. This is true for both men and women.

If you think about it..after our basic survival needs are taken care of..food..water.. air..sleep.. shelter and taking care of our body’s basic functions..the next thing that naturally becomes important for most people is sex. There’s a simple reason for that: without reproduction..the human species wouldn’t continue. Nature made sex incredibly pleasurable because it encourages reproduction. That’s why sexual desire can feel so powerful and why it occupies such a central place in our lives.

Among all natural pleasures ..sexual orgasm is  considered the most intense and rewarding experiences. It creates a powerful sense of pleasure that few other natural activities like eating or exercising or socializing can match. Of course certain drugs can produce even stronger pleasure  but those are artificial and are a completely different category. 

When it comes to understanding sexuality one book I found especially thought-provoking is “From Sex to Superconsciousness “by Osho. It’s free online . One idea that really stood out to me is that the best way to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling sex life is to stop obsessing over it. Relax. Let it happen naturally instead of constantly chasing it. When the time is right ..it will come. If you become obsessed by the pursuit of sex..then your perspective on life becomes too narrow. Sex is one of life’s most beautiful experiences.. but it’s only one of them. There are countless other meaningful and  joyful and  fulfilling experiences waiting to be lived as well.
