Nihilism which states that all virtues and values are mere abstractions, is a natural outgrowth of western philosophy and psychology considering that they have no understanding or database of enlightenment or Buddhahood in western civilization, and which is of a recent timeline compared to the ancient eastern civilization.

I don't agree with this as Christianity was the Western equivalent of Buddhism. Nietzsche did argue that the internal logic of Christianity ultimately leads to nihilism, though...

In our time, the East seems to be just as nihilistic as the West. Modern China is the living embodiment of the "Reign of Quantity".

Being fed negativity all the time/too much information/too many opinions would be another sympthom. And you feel like it's all affecting you or you should be held responsible for doing something about it. At some point it's getting so tiring. But you are also addicted to it, because of stimulation and habits. If you have the privilege of being able to live your life peacefully and in a relative abundance, then maybe going boomer mode isn't all that bad. Reading books only and boring shit like that
