Greatest mesure for egoic bullshit

3 posts in this topic

The most accurate way to spot egoic dysfunctional stuff that's causing you suffering and keeping you stuck is DRAMA.

worrying, complaining, victim thinking, gossip, guilt, shame, low self worth, inner critic, identity, judgement, moralising, superiority, inferiority, fury, resentment, resistance, self hate, self centeredness, attention seeking.......all have one thing in common, they all have drama to them, and they are dysfunctional.

in all those traits, the ego is in the middle of constructed story where it is the main thing and stuff are happening to it and is reacting to all that with all it's attachments and fears and wants.

Of course there is a difference between expressing emotions like anger, sadness, fear, disappointment, excitement, passion...and those traits. cutting all drama doesn't mean suppressing emotion. to distinguish between those is an attitude, a skill.

If it has drama to it, it's probably dysfunctional and you gotta work on stopping it.

(do you think there's a more accurate way?)

Yes. Better word is perpetuation. Be angry all you please. You cannot not be angry. It arises. You choice is perpetuation and this is unskilful. Realize you are the problem, not them. You misperceived. They didn't misstep. Admit I was mistaken. Don't perpetuate. The miracle that unfolds is then anger doesn't arise. You reprogrammed yourself to catch your silliness. You are free. And the world is perfect.

@gettoefl Yeah knowing the balance between expression and perpetuation is key.
