We're diving in the dark. I wanted to understand criminals, often times criminality is linked to mental illness, personality disorders, trauma, poverty... 

But i want a really deep dive into the psychology of crime. Like what makes a criminal a criminal.

There might not be a satisfying reason people become criminals. Scientists don't know how the mind or consciousness works completely and so we can't answer stuff like that entirely. 

One answer for everything is that nature loves variation and crime is a variation on risk tolerance, ego, and resource gathering.
