Investigation and understanding is not a means to an end, it is the end, it is the point, it's like breathing, it's simply what you do when you're awake.

Tying into your post about understanding systems by exiting them, this is profound. Because I find myself really wanting to understand something but I'm too close to it, and my understanding of my own enmeshment is the key to stepping outside of it to see it more clearly. It's hard to understand a system when you're it's variable. I just want to understand and have the biggest picture possible whether it serves me or not.
