Epigenetics and Free Will!

1 post in this topic

I posted this video in response on another Thread, but I thought to start a topic on it..

in the video Dr Litpon states he did an experiment on stem cells(back in 1967), after the cells multiplied, all of which has the exact same genetic composition, he changed the environment in the petri dishes, this changed the stem cells, one set of cells become Muscle cells, the other Bone cells, the other Fat Cells..

He says Environment plays a huge role in our genetic output, or how the genes function within Us..

Can Human Beings determine their inner nature is the big question.. We cannot control what is going on around us mostly, if You have 50% control of Your Environment around You your in a good place for sure, but can we control 100% our inner environment, How I feel within myself?

Its been said that most of the diseases we get are due to  how stressful our life is and how much suffering we have gone thru. Suffering can be anything that we attach labels to, depression, anxiety, stress/resistance to what is, anger, bitterness, etc, their all forms of suffering, mental suffering which only humans suffer from generally..

My view is that we can exert control over our inner experience, we just have not been taught how to, more so we've been brainwashed into believing that we cannot do this, that suffering is a natural part of life and unavoidable.. I think this is due to our cultural/societal power structure wanting Us to feel lack and to feel that we need things outside ourselves to feel Alive and Happy, which in the end does not work!

Whatta think?
