Julius Evola, René Guénon, and the Traditionalist School

2 posts in this topic

So, most people on this forum are acquainted with the forms of spirituality and philosophy Leo Gura is steeped into himself: Integral Theory, Developmental Psychology, psychedelics, Eastern schools etc

Now, I am personally into those areas myself, but I am also deeply interested in the Western Esoteric tradition, integrating ceremonial magic, Gnosticism, esoteric Christianity etc. I also very much like the Traditionalist school of thought, especially Julius Evola’s work.

Thing is, I’ve also encountered a number of issues with some fundamental aspects of Traditionalist doctrine, which I have tried to redeem through a specific conceptual synthesis; I am developing a framework that tries to integrate Integral Philosophy, Traditionalism and Western esotericism, which I call “Metamodern Traditionalism”.

Now, I am simply starting this thread to try and see if there are other people on here familiar with the above-mentioned frameworks and are into both Integral Theory and Traditionalism, who are capable of speaking across those various paradigms.

If so, don’t hesitate to start a conversation here, or simply DM me

Another label that could fit me is perhaps: Metamodern Neo-Gnostic Christian-Hermetic Masonic Traditionalist with a Pragmatic Dharma(Buddhism) informed contemplative practice.

If that somewhat sounds like you, hop on board
