Political Science (You Don't Really Understand Politics)

Posted (edited)

Let's play a game, let's start from scratch and admit we don't really know how politics works, what is political science, what is power, and how does it work? It's not left vs right, it's about studying power and how it is maintained and controlled. What is manipulation and what is psychology.

This is profound. It's a war on language and perception, whoever controls the narrative bends and manipulate reality through media, books, ideologies and corrupted minds in positions of power.

What is authoritarianism? What is tyranny ? What is democracy? What is power? What is politics? What is the historical patterns of politics, war and corrupted governments? What is language? And also why are people dogmatic and ideological?

Below 👇 we can provide the highest quality resources for studying political science. No far right, left or central talking points. Recommend the highest quality books and thinkers of political Science in the world.

•Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty. A book by economists Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson,

•Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right — Jane Mayer.

This isn't intended to offend or come of as an asshole, this post really applies to me and maybe someone else can see this as something to dig into. I'm pretty ignorant of politics and would love to grasp it at a really deep meta level.

I studied political science in uni. I understand a lot more than the average person but there’s a whole lot more I could learn as well. It’s a life long process. There’s so much to know as well. It’s difficult to know everything about politics, usually there is some aspect that interests people and they go on to specialize in it.
