Rat race to the top on sinking Titanic - Apps Rant

Slavish Ship of Sheep

I hate apps i hate phones. Not inherently, but the way its made and idiotically broadly accepted. The data use is so disguisting and unclear and it seems provider can include anything they want in it and there is no realistic oversight. Its just so deeply unnerving cos if you dont use it you dont have A reach to ppl... this is all so fucked on so many levels simultaneously and you can proove me wrong if you can.

The way it's normalized, like "just accept the terms and scroll," while providers sneak in trackers for everything from your location to your keystrokes? , it's deeply fucked, and it traps you in this catch-22: opt out, and you're cut off from friends, work, or that audience you're trying to build

Take recent scandals: Samsung's been catching heat for pre-installing an unremovable app from IronSource that hoovers up device IDs, IPs, and location data, raising surveillance red flags with no easy opt-out.
Or the UK's GOV ID Check app, which logs way more than needed—user behavior, device ads, session tracking—despite claims of minimalism, all encrypted in ways that dodge oversight.
And  Lifeprint printer app leaking millions of user photos and sensitive info just this year.
Providers can (and do) cram in whatever trackers they want, often buried in fine print, and enforcement? Spotty at best. Even "privacy-first" apps like the NHS one stitch together third-party services that force you to hand over data rights just to book a doc.

It makes me hate ppl sometimes. Even otherwise intelligent guys and even it engeneers shrug the shoulders and overlook it even if pointed out  . Its so unbelievable how slavish bulk of ppl are for exchange of intoxicating social convinience.

How much % of global ppl is just completely oblivious about it IN PRACTICAL TERMS? Its not even that difficult to solve technically.

Here: you can scrutinize my practical aproach// ditch phones. Use linux. Use minds or bluesky. Use websites not apps. Its still not perfect but its available to use but like i said im deeply puzzeled how deeply unconcious and impulsive and just.... how you can be such mass slavish hooked up zombies but its like Clarice from silence of the lambs trying to free the sheep and they just stand there and puzzeled by the disturbance coused to their established social order.

It's the stuff of nightmares—intelligent engineers, sharp minds, all glazing over at the mention of trackers  because the scroll feels too good to quit. It's not just laziness; it's engineered addiction, a collective trance where the convenience high overrides the creeping dread. And yeah, pointing it out often lands like shouting into fog: "But it's fine," they mutter, as if trading soul-bits for likes is a fair swap.

Im not using apps more then necessary from now on. I ll use phone minimally. I will opt out for community and open-source soft. Maybe ill start campaign for other ppl to get more aware and apply few simple solutions. Its terrible on some level cos apps have bilions of user and most of them on the phones and its a seemingly perfect for content sharing and starting up as artist... BUT its so terrible for me and others that i would rather jump off on some little lifeboat then participate in rat race to the top on sinking titanic.... or is it not titanic... its "progress" and i am deluded and sociopath?
