An honest CEO with integrity (Runescape)

I love seeing examples in the real world of leaders who value honesty, integrity and wellbeing of the organization/customers above pure financial profit, especially in a deeply stage orange industry like game development.

The newly appointed CEO of Jagex, company behind the MMORPG Runescape, seems to be displaying some of these values. I do still take it with a grain of salt, but going in against BS like MTX in games is a huge green flag to me. Notice his incredibly honest demeanor at the start of the video, admitting mistakes were made in the past and offering a tangible solution to the player base.

For a game like Runescape, appeasing fans is kind of a must. Goodwill can get strained and people who've played for years eventually quit out of frustration as the experience feels like its been gradually tarnished.

For a game all about grinding, even QOL updates can cheapen the experience.
