I need an advice about navigating my different levels of cognitive development

I have noticed within myself that I have a deeply premodern heart and my other faculties are higher than that. It makes it very difficult to make changes it seems that I am split and so contradictory, do you have an advice on how to navigate that? I was born in a deeply Muslim society.

I was born deeply Christian bro. I know how it is. So just remember that a person can exhibit more than one colour, the human being is a complex organism with many parts.... your like a small country and each of your cells is a citizen. Some can want one thing while others want something else.

This conflict is inevitable and, I think, a good sign. It shows rapid progression. 

One personal word of advice id suggest for you man, don't rip up islam. If you were born into it it's not just a religion for you, it's the glue that holds your family and society together. Don't make any rash moves. 

Typically I've found it to be much much better to work with my religion and through it...seeing what it means, not rejecting the religion...but just not following it either. Go with your peace brother. Often youll find that your peace tells you not to reject or accept your religion.
