The Construction of Nationalism

Well, I start this one in a Begginers Mind. What is Nationalism. There was a time this term dosent even exist, I mean for me. The same way as a child I couldn't say exactly what was a woman or man. Well not that far in begginers mind. The aim here is to see Nationalism as a animal evolving from its whatever beggining, and as the video say "whatever a beggining means" So I will begin with this video and see that the intelignece of Actualizers bring forth. 

I like how in the end of the video there is a shift to the importance of literacy in the construction of nationalism, yes make sense because without language to tranfer all the cultural baggage and nationalist narrative how a men mind would even become nationalist or tribalis in the case of ancient groups . I will share one video later with the perspective that Napoleon Bonaparte is connectec with the creation with what Nationalism is today.

I put this video on Literacy here. Nkt because Nationalism depend directly on being able to write and read but because if we think well, how would one be even indocrinated to Identify with one Nation if in some point of hi life he would not hear that he is Canadian,American, Brasilian? And what would be of Nations without Records,Books of History, books of contability or even the affuence of literacy was this woman points in her video about the literacy of Kings and Queens in tutelage of scribes and experts in latin,greek etc.. 

Ps: I aways watch videos in 2X velocity when people speak slowly. 

 

This guy ( also with Dislexy) made his life project to spread literacy since he realized the economic impacts of being Illiteracy in development countries.

So just imagine im Medieval Times when even in Europe most people could not read great masters not to say understand them. No surprise Inquisition and many other atrocities, most people depended just in someone from literate aristocracy or church to read to them. Even today people read but that is not the same as compreension capacity.
