What you’re saying is correct. I can’t argue with you.

There is no one anywhere that can try to be enlightened. Whatever tries to get enlightened is indeed only an appearance without any inherent reality of its own. Nothing can be done to make awakening happen.

When it comes to the words, you’re right. But if you’re asking such questions, those are just words to you. You have yet to have their meaning click within your being.

You haven’t seen that there is no one here to try to be enlightened. You haven’t seen that what tries to get enlightened is ultimately only appearance.

You have the ideas and concepts down in theory. Many people do. But you haven’t seen them in your own experience. So, now you have to make the journey. You have to challenge everything you think you know that goes against the ideas which you have outlined.

There are many unseen areas within your own mind that contradict what you’re telling me. Those unseen areas must be seen and thus let go of. This is the process that you must go through.

The very fact that you’re asking this question implies that you haven’t examined those unseen areas within yourself. This is okay! You’re asking a very genuine question that many people wouldn’t bother to ask because they don’t even dare to admit that something doesn’t add up in their own experience. At least you have noticed.

Many people read or hear about these ideas of no-self, no free will, no seeker and they just believe them. But see, there’s someone there, a self, a seeker, exercising free will, believing those ideas. People that just believe these ideas are only cheating themselves.

You must walk the path. You must inquire. Whoever told you there’s no one here to try to be enlightened, if they are enlightened, they walked the path before they started saying those things. Actions speak louder than words, always. So before you copy someone’s words or ideas, copy what they did before they started talking.

The only way to see that there is no one here to be enlightened is to disprove irrefutably, within your own being, the belief that there is someone here that isn’t enlightened.
