Weird list. Russia, Georgia and Ukraine were the same country when they won Königsberg, some chunks of Karelia and Kuril Islands in wars. And that country was much bigger. Even without considering all the countries of the communist bloc that were under Soviet control and influence after WWII.

Fun fact: Since the beginning of the operation Russian news often report on TV that Ukrainian "nazis" put civilian clothes on and try to leave occupied territories disguised as civilians, but Russian and LDNR forces didn't get fooled and exterminated all those nazis in civilian clothes anyway. Which means, as I see it, that the propagandists were instructed to prepare an excuse for reports of murdered civilians from the beginning. Murdering civilians was part of the plan. "They are just disguised nazis"

I've been having the same thoughts but I also can't be sure that Putin will stop. What if inspired by a success with Ukraine he'll try to invade another country in a few years? Because Ukraine also wasn't the first one.

Yes, my government is lying to me, there's no doubt. But why are you saying the same things that my government says? Does it mean that you are lying as well?

The story about Nazis in Ukraine is used a lot by Russian propaganda and by Putin himself as one of the excuses for the war. He even calls this war "denazification"

it's not a third world country. Communists countries used to be called the second world and Russia kind of inherits that position, still relevant
