  1. ? I only pay for 3 other things: YouTube premium, gym membership and IAI.tv membership.
  2. Imagine being a wave that recognizes it's the entire ocean. Even if that is true, what will the wave do with the ocean? Not much. In reality, the ocean will just keep being the ocean, and the wave will keep being the wave. It's the same when you recognize that you are God.
  3. Yup. It seems like when you subvocalize, you're filling up the "working space" with more stuff, which decreases the capacity. You're probably just supposed to use what you referred to as pattern recognition and intuition and nothing else. I did a few sets of Dual 3 Back today and I got up to 64% success rate. I actually feel noticably different after I do it. It's a bit like meditation, but it's more a sharpening of focus than a broadening of awareness.
  4. I did 12 sets today on Dual 2 Back and hit 100% for the first time. I didn't realize before the 8th set that I had to match both position and sound if they occurred simultaneously lol (I used to only choose position). EDIT: Once you hit 100%, you'll keep hitting it pretty often, so it's probably better to move on to the higher ones. I learned that it's better to be completely silent than to intentionally rehearse the information verbally/internally (not sure if this applies for higher Ns).
  5. Ask it: why are white supremacists generally right-wing?
  6. In your writing, do you ever feel like you value authentic expression and flow over clarity of meaning and conciseness?
  7. Lol, I don't know about that. Unless I genuinely start feeling like my brain power is exploding, it's not something I'll spend much time thinking about.
  8. I'm personally going to play it every day. It's kinda fun too.
  9. You could argue it's even more drastic, as he went from being 1/50 to 1/10000. He went from being very high IQ to genius level. The type of work that becomes available to you in that jump is more valuable than going from say a janitor at 87 IQ to say an office worker at 100 IQ.
  10. A 13 point IQ difference is huge. 100 is normal, 87 is too low for working virtually any job, and at 83, you can't even join the military.
  11. The guy with the 13 point increase practiced Dual 4 Back for 400 hours.
  12. Your working memory is less like a storage space and more like a working space.
  13. I tried it a few times. The best I've got is 67% correct on Dual 2 Back, and I'm very sleep deprived ?
  14. I'll try it out to see if it improves my thinking.
  15. When the person you're "debating" doesn't know how hypotheticals work, that is when you exit the conversation.
  16. Many people think they're different (I've even talked to these people), but only recently, I came up with an interesting thought experiment that shows that they're the same thing. Imagine that you have a normal treadmill, but instead of the usual length, you extend it many times the usual length (let's say a mile). Stand still on the treadmill and gradually turn it to running speed. Now, before you start running, the material you're standing on is obviously stationary relative to your body, so when you start running, it's just like if you were to start running on the ground (because the ground is also stationary relative to your body). So the only real difference between running on a normal treadmill and the ground is what happens before you hit running speed. On a treadmill, you might jump on at high speed or experience some inertia before you start moving your feet (and of course, there is a difference in air resistance). And if you're confused by the background being stationary while on a treadmill vs. moving while on the ground, imagine that the material under your feet on the treadmill also has walls on the sides (so you don't see the background, and when you start moving, you'll be moving relative to the walls). That would be just like running on a moving train.
  17. So I guess it's an intention to do those things. You can argue that awakening leads to the ego being healed in a spontaneous and intuitive way, rather than an intentional way. But that is just one way to heal your ego, and I don't see it replacing the role of shadow work. You can still do shadow work while being awakened, and you will probably be more inclined to do so (or at least be better at it, as @SeaMonster pointed out in the other thread). You'll still be able to form intentions, plan things and set goals, despite being awakened. Awakening is not a lobotomy of your higher mental functions. It only frees them from certain constraints. So I don't see shadow work being "bullshit", just "different shit" than awakening.
  18. I don't even run at all, because it makes me feel like a sissy afterwards ? (for the next two-three days, probably due to increased cortisol and a subsequent decrease in testosterone). My dude, I'm arguing against people who think they're different for the same reason that I would argue against people who think the Earth is flat.
