  1. Thanks for all the replies guys! They were trully helpful. My problem is: I expect results right away. If I don't get it, I become less motivated to take required action. I shall stop judging myself for being lazy and simply acknowledge it AND drop all the big expectations and keep taking baby steps. It's hard to let go of anti-mastery mindset, because we are bombarded with messages every where: get fit quick, get rich quick, instant- something etc.
  2. I will make this short. As a tittle says, laziness and procrastination are Ruining my life. I am 21 and need to fix it ASAP. I've been a lazy person since I probably started my university. I barely managed to finish my engineering degree with almost failing most of the subjects. Things are getting worse. It has gotten to the extremes, like me not cooking food and starving, just because I don't feel like getting up from the bed. Sometimes I can spend hours watching youtube, lying in bed just to look at the time after and realize how much time I have wasted and feel bad about everything. I've taken Leo's course and have created an amazing, exciting life purpose that I want to pursue with all my heart (see my old post) but I can't take almost ANY action due to a lot of limiting beliefs / procrastination and laziness. I know about homeostasis, and approach of simply doing something and forcing myself seems to not be working. Question is: ***How did you turn your life around from being LAZY to Very productive and acing every aspect of your life? ***Is a way to train will-power is by simply forcing myself to take action and ignore all the distraction? Also, I am in the process of reading Deep Work and will be trying those techniques shortly (procrastination again ) Thanks for reading
  3. @BjarkeT Absolutely! I have to focus and commit to one life purpose, no matter if I have a little doubt about it and just get extremely good at it. I'd rather have something mastered, than spent years contemplating what's right and what's wrong. In the end, it all boils down to massive well-planned action I believe. Which book is that from? Is that "Why skills trump passion" or something like that? Appreciate the feedback
  4. @NoSelfSelf it is tough indeed. You said you are an "advocate". I am curious if your life purpose involves around helping other people in any form? As for "visionary" it's from the sokanu.com. The test is free and quite worth it @Elisabeth I like how you said I do can one and the other, but not at the same time. I was thinking exact same thing. The idea of being life coach is so far out of reach at the moment, and it seems more compelling to pursue it when I am older with some "life" experience. And you are right, I can blend the limiting beliefs into the second one in some way, perhaps a creating a new niche hmm. Thanks for response!
  5. Warning: long post, tl;dr is included in the end I am soon to be 22 and majored in engineering. I’ve started the course last year which took me around 8 months to finish. In the process of taking it, I’ve learned a lot about myself, as a person, but the question about my life purpose still remained quite unclear. Please, give me an advice and put me on the right track. Taking the course led to me realizing 2 potential life purposes which I will get into details below. First life purpose: I help people break through their limiting beliefs, so they can reach their full potential (Domain of mastery: Personal Development, Ideal medium: videos and blogs) = (7/10 appealing) Potential careers: Life Coach I love helping people and giving advices. In the age of 18 I discovered self-help and started reading lots of books related to this topic, everything from relationships to personal success. I was somewhat self-help junkie, as people say, reading through all the books and already looking for a new material without finishing previous one. I used to be a professional swimmer for close to 8 years. The determination to succeed and get better was instilled in me back then. I feel joy when improving someone’s life. I find myself fulfilled whenever I help people or give valuable advice. Second life purpose: I inspire people to live life to the fullest and bring smiles to their everyday lives (8/10 appealing) Potential careers: Photographer / Videographer / YouTube persona / Comedian One of my passions since childhood has always been travelling. I’ve been visiting new country every year since I was 10. I love seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I love constant environment change and adventure. Before starting university, taking photos and editing them was somewhat my hobby for a short period of time and I remember having fun while doing that. This hobby was then quickly lost and forgotten after school started. The videos I usually watch on Youtube are lifestyle travel videos with beautiful cinematography of people traveling around the world. This appeals to me a lot (value: freedom, adventure, fun, creativity) and I am eager to pursue this kind of “luxurious” adventurous lifestyle (aka digital nomad). So I figured that Domain of mastery of Photo / Video might be the right thing in this case. Also one of the virtues for my life purpose was “playfulness”. So having a youtube channel and doing vlogging sounds like fun to me. ***** Top 10 values: Freedom, Excellence, Adventure, Love, Personal Growth, Fun, Health, Creativity, Optimism, Contribution Top 10 strengths: Humor and playfulness, Gratitude, Perspective wisdom, Love of learning, Diligence and perseverance ***** Which life purpose do I imprint and focus on? How do I figure what I am truly passionate about? Am I overthinking the whole process? I went into engineering with the reasoning of high income and respected profession. But I later figured, that I hate sitting in front of the computer desk in a cubicle and doing monotonous 9-5 work. Don’t want to go to school and study something I don’t find interesting again. I want to work in a creative field for myself. That's how my vision board looks like. It represents all of my 10 values so you can better understand what I want out of life at this moment Thanks for reading tl;dr: finished life purpose course, found 2 potential life purposes (life coach / photographer (and film), not sure which one to pursue. Please, put me on the right track of discovering life purpose.
  6. That's fantastic! You've got the whole life to pursue your life purpose at such a young age. Most people aren't realizing theirs at all! I am 21 and still struggling to find mine. Mind sharing what is your passion and dream you want to support?
  7. Hi everyone, This might seem like a silly question, but let's get into it... I purchased life purpose course around august and have been heavily investing my time into it. As school started, it has been less and less that I would do the exercises or visualizations. Now a few month later, I am at Life Purpose #3, where I left off (more than half a way of the course, done values and strengths) and trying to figure out if I should start it all over from the first video. What do you guys think? tl,dr: I put off the life purpose course for a few month, do I need to start from the beginning?
