  1. Actualized Quote #541 is my favorite, so I’m saving it. It brings to mind Bernadette Roberts' The Human Passage.
  2. There are no beans to spill.
  3. I might watch it for the entertainment value.
  4. Unfortunately, this is not entertaining.
  5. Smile 2 is also incredible. I'm not sure if it's better than the first, but it's certainly wilder in places, and I really enjoyed it. The concept is brilliant and it's executed so well. I'd gladly watch Smile 3, 4, 5, and 6! It should become a whole franchise, just like Saw, Final Destination, and Scream. This concept has so much potential.
  6. Smile is a surprisingly good horror film, not as silly as its title and poster might suggest. It’s well-written, well-acted, and has the kind of dramatic structure I enjoy in movies. I’ve heard the sequel is even better, so I’m really looking forward to watching it. Another interesting horror film I’ve seen, though not nearly as good as Smile, is The Autopsy of Jane Doe. The concept is intriguing, but it doesn’t quite reach its full potential—still worth a watch.
  7. The Housemaid is actually a pretty good movie. Slow but entertaining. Better than Send Help.
  8. That one really isn't for me. I just can't get into it. There's no dramatic structure, just the stark realism of the system, which I find incredibly boring.
  9. It's a promising sign that the soundtrack already sounds remarkable.
  10. Good question. I haven’t looked into it much, but I think they’re stuck on a lunar station and need to find a way back to Earth. The girl is an android who can hack, helping the protagonist. I haven’t seen any gameplay or trailers, but the premise sounds interesting, and the screenshots are intriguing. I hope it turns out to be something special. I can definitely see the resemblance!
  11. One of his finest sentences: The same sentence, but with "consciousness" replaced by "existence": 🤯
  12. Diana is the most adorable character in video game history. I'm definitely going to buy this game!
  13. It should be great! I'll definitely watch it.
  14. The older I get, the more I appreciate Ramana's simplicity. I love the images of him just sitting or reclining, completely unbothered by anything. A True Man indeed.
  15. It's finally streaming. I have to admit, though, I'm a bit disappointed. While it's a decent movie, it didn't quite live up to my expectations, especially considering the listed genres and the poster, which I found a little misleading. I was hoping for something fresh, but it felt rather familiar. They do try to subvert expectations, but for me, it ultimately falls a bit short. It's a good film and worth a watch, but I wasn't completely blown away. I expected more from Sam Raimi; his earlier film, Drag Me to Hell, is superior.
  16. A notable difference I observed between Bernadette Roberts and Peter Ralston is this: Ralston posits that the self arises solely from the social domain: In contrast, Roberts asserts that the self is independent of society, functioning instead as a product of the brain: I lean toward agreeing with Roberts in this case, but that doesn’t mean Ralston is wrong, as the social domain does play a significant role in the development of self.
  17. Just finished that chapter. That's where it gets juicy. He's not holding back in this book.
  18. I'm also interested in learning more about this opportunity. I hope he doesn't say, "I changed my mind about this, and it's canceled," because I'm saving money for it. I hope it happens, whether this year or next, as it could be a life-changing experience! And if he cancels, I’m heading to Vegas anyway to gamble my money away
  19. "If you turn any of this into a belief system I’ll kill you, and then you can find out about death for real. ☺️" Oh, Peter... 🤣
  20. The shipping costs are €32.82. Damn it, Peter!
  21. It’s only listed on Amazon.com, but it turns out you can order from Germany as well—you just need a credit card, which I don’t have. I really hope a Kindle version gets released, or that it’s made available worldwide, Peter and Brendan, for goodness’ sake!
  22. I would purchase it right away if I could. Why isn't it available on Amazon.de?
