and through this process of reflecting, diving deep and facing myself i just try to move myself forward. so far i can tell that my way of doing things have worked for me, i am making solid improvements over time. all of this is not instant and few good internet conversations won't instantly propel me miles ahead, the speed of this entire process is to each his/her own and should be respected. being vigilant, even to one's own mind is healthy, complete mistrust, however is not.talking to you is nice, i get to see other opinions and viewpoints, but your messages in contrast to mine are more like a philosophy debate rather than exchange of life experience as feedback for my own process. in that regard i appreciate it, but from practical side of things or just my current mood, i don't want to engage in deep thinking and holding high some deep philosophical ideals.
as for crediting myself of my good advice, my ego loves helping/giving out advice, this forums is feeding grounds for it, but i don't focus on my ego and it's indulgence, i am just happy with understanding that even if purely out of selfish reasons i am giving out all this advice, it will help others either my ego gains, or not. people will derive useful points from my text and make what they want out of it,regardless of my ego.
take away what you will, but please, don't draw me in a philosophical debate =]
Didn't mean that at all
I have very few ideals to debate, the experiences got buried some time ago and I have to work to discover them, it is so very interesting the comments you have just made! we'd all be happier to remember them. I'm about to exercise and take full advantage of this feeding ground of quick internet conversations with a little meditation of sorts! Sincerely, have a calm and relaxed day we all deserve them!

Kind of perhaps. Brute force in other words. Like trying to break a password, eventually it will crack. May take longer than it's worth to see it with today's great encryption algorithms and all.
Guess that's up to you about being worth it. You have to identify the parts that hold you back from where you want to go and work to change them. I agree on the test usage. It's a tool for characterization. It could prove to be quite powerful for gaining goals. Though I think gaining purpose is the reverse process. If you break your flow by manipulating yourself you only hurt yourself but a certain amount of pain is part of some people's lives. You could make a link between the test and the things that you think are passionate to you and try to make the ride more smooth. A way to embrace what you want and fully enjoy it for yourself! When no else sees.
And people choose and make their own path all the time and use fair amounts of force and personal change to be the best at those things, no doubt. It keeps the heart doctors in business!

be seeing your around~Why do you fear your mind? Dark ways of a labyrinth?
Someone told me once, that my first answer is usually the right one. I used to describe it as my "gut" as well. But that usually only works with fresh things. If allowed to dwell, yes, I can understand how it can become a dark pathway. Just because no one talks much about evil does not mean it doesn't prowl around regularly! Some of us are fairly competent at being evil to ourselves!
This is all part of understanding that life doesn't have to be hateful and fearful and controlling and secretive. There are no secrets really. Though, doesn't that dwelling and mistrust of one's own mind cause the perception of secrets?
And by the way, I saw some impressive posts from you earlier on here! Take credit for yourself by yourself. I think that was my take-away from the neat post about Loving Yourself and how hard that can be sometimes. And why!

I read, that Myers-Briggs Personality types can change over the course of a single month and the last time, I did the assessment, I turned out to be INTJ.So since these personality types are not fundamentally cast in stone, how can this concept be used for personal growth? Just for observing, where I'm at? Or is there some sort of possibility to actively transform ones personality from one type to another? I highly doubt that. Human personality is way too complex to be categorized with just 16 different types.
Perhaps. It takes lots of time and understanding. And patience! Patience! Patience!
Pay attention to the % rankings and perhaps use affirmations after a brief study of the characterizations that are used as binary variables and realize the % is the fuzziness. As in fuzzy logic (between 0 and 1). We use affirmations for instance to build habits and to break them, along with determination. So, why could we not alter our personalities? Habits are part of personality and we can change them.
Maybe pick a few traits of a direction on that test score that you want to go and try doing something like the Chakral affirmations mentioned somewhere on the main blog site earlier today. Or just start by repeating it to yourself like a mental exercise for starters. Then contemplate on the thoughts you begin to have over the day or week. Always remember that the old you is still known and in many cases assumed by others. So, you may want to watch Leo's video on backsliding to help with understanding this natural resistance to change.

i don't even need to be in center of attention or be very smart or likeable, i just need to make common ground and open space for further process =]
You are welcome. Don't be hard on yourself. Just know what you must do, when you figure it out. Write the good stuff down with your own shorthand, whatever you understand long-term things work great. Being ok as "second" is important, but don't follow people who can't lead themselves to places you have been in mind or body. These things are easy to forget, beware! A little smart is good. A little likeable is someone else's perception. Common ground is nice depending on the nature of the interaction. It can lead to "loosing yourself" quite quickly however. Open space can really speed things up. But if you get on the wrong track you may expand into the wrong vessel ! Kind of like building another box for yourself if you are not careful !
Some trappers use an oblong shaped wire box with a trap door to capture animals. That box is as big as the animal it is designed to contain.
Are you familiar with people that have the ability to "channel" others? If you listen around, you may find one that tells your story. It won't be in order it's too long for that and we live in so many dimensions in so many reference frames. And it may be told by many different people if you know what to listen for. But a talented guide may help you. Where do I think these thoughts are coming from!? Ask yourself.

It seems that you kinda have to do that part to make progression at some point. Just visit with diverse groups doing diverse activities. Especially exercising as it has such a cleansing effect. And this all repeats it's need as you grow. Everything cycles, at least once it is started and continued. The wavelike motion of life let's say.
But yes, those grievances will eat you from the inside. That's most of the cancer out there!
And you don't have to verbalize much, you know, with those "new actual interactions".

I remember watching an interview with Brene Brown and Oprah and they were discussing how rape victims can get over a one time event , but the thing that cripples them is that they believe that they are unworthy of love. Which is Brene Brown's definition of shame, The belief that you are unworthy of love. She also contends that shame is one of the major causes of violence, suicide, drug addiction, and more.
So how do we love ourselves? How do we affirm that we are worthy of love just as we are?
One way that has been working for me is a Kamal Ravikant style of affirmation. Where you just affirm over and over again "I love myself" for as long as you possibly can. It helps to put your hands on your chest when you do this.
And I have to say that it actually works. I'm still a beginner to this practice, but the love flows and if feels really really good.
But trust me when I say that I have much work to do in the area of forgiveness and self love
All the best,
- Colin
That was great! I had forgotten that detail, but my default was affirmations as well with something else.

It does seem to be the only way. Requires good people skills to be more gentle in some cases. And a focus on self-control and self-honesty. Hate is such a waste of time!!! And it causes lots of problems.

But there's another side to this: These are old wounds appearing to you so that you can heal them!
Yes, and it is possible for a person to remove all the burdens. And then to have the burdens come back by the shared sense. I have to say the Law of Attraction would be my first look to understand further how they found their way home!!! Lol It's like the anti-Law of Diffusion! haha
Animals have a really keen sense to find their way home. Now, what confuses us so much? The human element perhaps.
It does in many cases take re-exposure in body or mind to the initial harm with awareness and techniques in order to alleviate the problem. Visualization can help. And guided meditation does as well.

This quote is in a book I am currently reading, The Book of Not Knowing by Peter Ralston. This particular quote speaks to the self in our culture. He describes how our assumptions, beliefs, and conclusions about others and our selves seem to make us believe that this is who we really are. But there isn't a you, it's all made up. The real you lies beneath all of that. The being. I really got some insight into "myself" after reading this part of the book and doing some introspection.
And 90% of what we worry about never happens anyway. And that's a rough estimate.

And the beauty of Geometry! It really is amazing. Think about it compared to all the math based on approximations. It can form the desired blueprint. But even the most precise and accurate instruments of rule and construction still have uncertainty associated with them.

Spectroscopy! It can tell the footsteps of the astronomical. It is of great importance but that's a relative statement of course.
Knowing C and visual C variants will pay big dividends. Assuming the change in technology is still fully accessible with these originally fundamental codes. Specialized instruments would require confidence with theory and machine language just to have data to use C on. And remember it's all about fitting a "curve" to the data. Then you can do calculations from that approximate equation. The spacial and partial calculus becomes very important at this point.
So....we are best to find the best people to do what they do best and bring them all together under great leadership that also has understanding.
I did not get practical or enough training at many of the things you'll learn in engineering! Some of which I just mentioned.

It depends how You use it - when You neglect other factors like intensity, total workload, volume, ROM, it is not "legit" ;PIn that context I said that people overlook to TUT and misuse it, by doing 3 to 10 seconds long just on eccentric portion of the movement, when they just could've done more volume (which is a variable too) in the same amount time.
By saying that Time Under Tension is legit, without given context there is an open room to interpretation and potential of misguiding people.
People misguide themselves with too much characterization from another person's perspective. In order for someone less read or educated on a topic, sometimes we must keep it simple or they will loose motivation before they do their first exercise! From experience, time under tension is very effective at strength and endurance and consistency is key!

1. Being vulnerable is awesome for growth
2. Certainty Is cause of resistance and confusion
3. Being confused is one of the step to get the truth
my one of the goal in life is to connect everything cuz I believe that everything is interconnected to everything else.... Just carry on bro
I did theoretical and analytical primarily. Some engineering. The math is quite different, but I loved diffeq. And now really appreciate the abstract and discrete. And probability and statistics is key for practicality. Human psychology reflects these principles in amazing ways! To make the leap from human to creator think about solving an ab inito equation for a single body system vs. the ease with which an approximation can be made for a many body system. And even the ab inito equation has fudge factors that cannot be explained fully because the sub atomic realm is not fully characterized in a practical way to link to the larger world. The diagonal only appears to give exact solutions. They are exact answers for the question asked! Now, think about your mind and who you are and how hard that is to determine. It gets easier with work. But imperfection attacks you before you can even begin the day. No matter how good your techniques are or may get. So, then we learn that the flow is still the flow. Try to control the flux. And learn to direct the path of the flow based on your perception of time. Realizing past, present, future and where your thoughts are coming from and where they are going is a useful practice also. Journaling is a must. When you fall away from that you'll remember to get back to it! But all of these things must be done by you alone until or if you ever find a trustworthy companion to grow in these ways with. Many times it's many people that provide small pieces of help at just the right times! It may even be self serving to them and help to you. Perceptions are tricky things they confuse us. So, to perceive confuses but we must perceive to observe and form a hypothesis to find truth! You are right on!
Being too vulnerable can teach you in unnecessarily painful ways. Certainly "certainty" was a thorn for me. Hehe Embrace approximations or uncertainty! We are approximations as humans. Even the most Divine human is not perfect. Even thousands of Divine humans working together are not perfect like their source! Confusion does seem necessary as each circle carries on. And everything is so connected or interconnected that the only way to that goal is the way we go! You may really like Mastery by Robert Greene, just for some scientific accounts. Really neat stuff that is documented best in neuroscience but understood by countless numbers.

I believe success starts to be a big problem when it's not aligned with the process of your life purpose.
First of all, I believe that being a successful person is to work on a project or situation in which you believe and develops passionately, with a broad vision of what it can contribute to your own growth as a person (towards enlightenment) and also contribute to others. Money is just a need, a consequence, it cannot be taken as part of success. If you FOCUS on money as a sign of success you shouldn't be actually worried about enlightenment - it's either one or another, in my opinion.
So, the question for me is 'what do we consider as success? Is it money income from your work and projects or the sense of satisfaction, pleasure and meaning in what you do?'
This should be enough for you to wake up every morning, study and develop your career and believe that what you're doing has a big impact in your life and in the lives of others. There is something to be said for those who do it for themselves. Try living without that money. It doesn't last long. Many people live with a persistent worry for the next round of bills. Usually those that can only or will only look to themselves to provide that money. Personally, it became apparent long ago that if it doesn't make money it doesn't make sense, ultimately. Of course, health and wellness and spirituality and all the things that do good for the world are a must, however, they help you be the best you can be to provide the best for yourself even if it's by helping others. It's important not to get caught up in a movement for the sake of a movement or fad or cause! I found that I "myself" didn't even have passion for things that didn't make money except these I've mentioned. Personal growth or development and to assist others in the same from mental to physical health to diet, exercise, and spiritual health are all tools to improve my ability to succeed in my own eyes. Far too many of us are still "in the construct".
Sometimes i spend way too much time helping others with PD and not enough time making money for myself. But, to learn by teaching is very powerful. When the rubber meets the road I can assure you that without the money you won't have to see my posts all that often because I'll be busy doing things that pay!

I do go bow hunting to try to get more meat but havent caught a boar in months so I stopped as I felt like I was wasting my time even tho it seems meat does increase my energy.
Anyways thanks for the advice guys. Leo is right I need to put all my energy into raising my income as I cant be living like this any longer!
Will look into the thyroid hormones blood test and check the price. I am sure its as expensive as the comprehensive test I wanted but fingers cross its cheaperThere are private companies that will do a blood panel for you for a reasonable price without a doctor. It will tell you what you need to know. It's the same test the doctor orders! The interpretation can be a little tricky if you are unfamiliar, but surely you know someone who'd help with that and not "play doctor". Or you could look up the interpretation on line.

2 hours ago, Boss said:okay thanks I rarely buy the $1 burgers only when im out and want to eat out which is rare.
Tuna fish in a can and saltines make a great economic snack! I like sardines in Louisiana hot sauce also, good oil content and also very economic. Frozen green giant steam in bag veggies are great and can be found 10/$10 sometimes!
Your energy will go up with regular food intake and these are good foods! You may opt for the albacore tuna instead of the cheapest. Add some sweet relish and mayo stir it up and you have a couple days of tuna salad sandwiches!
The coffee in moderation will definitely give you an energy boost! Milk and sugar make even the lowest grade coffee palatable for me.
And oatmeal makes a great health food. Add some brown sugar and some dried fruit like grapes or cranberries to it and you've got a great meal. Even shredded wheat cereal is a great snack to keep your belly full on the budget!
The oatmeal will keep your cholesterol in check and the protein, bread, fiber, and veggies will do the rest together with the exercise and water and your spiritual-ity work.

I can't find one thing I truly regret. Everything brought something to me that I've learned from. I would not be who I am without uni. And try the walking/cycling without earpieces when you want to focus on what you are "hearing" "saying" "thinking". You may need to find a place with few people. Think Law of Diffusion applied to everything. Until you find good channels then the real fun begins!

I'm not sure I have as much to add at this point, but this stuff is super relevant for me. Lately I've been feeling a sort of dissolution of what I thought of as "myself", a dissolution of Personhood. There's been a sort of growing recognition that the people in my life - I am them and they are me, there's an inseparability that comes with sharing an experience, even though other beings have their own differing perspectives and things that make them tick and from moment to moment we're free to go our separate ways and dance our own dance other beings of course have their own free will, what's been making me feel astonished lately is maybe free will is free! (But it seems best when rooted in love) There's a sort of warm pleasant feeling that on some level each being/experiencer is still connected in some way on some level, even if it's just the view that all of creation is connected and joined as parts in an unchanging whole, that creation and us as experiencers are rooted in the one, in source that will always be beyond and greater than us, and thank goodness - that seems to allow us to keep experiencing it- subjectively, collectively, whatever that form of experience takes, but there is always more outside of ourselves, that we are rooted inside of.
It's sweet believing that others can be asking for advice, where their question they'd like answered can also be relevant for me and that in this way there is a great benefit. I guess as denselayman wrote the benefit of advice gained with others in this manner isn't maximized until it arises internally/is integrated in a unique way. It's strange I wonder if seeing the external as strictly external isn't quite it. That the external is external/internal, there is of course an-other being interacted with, and being doesn't know an-others perspective and view, how things are relevant for that other, different get/enjoy the same thing in different ways. When advice or guidance comes seemingly spontaneously from within, then maybe that's the other part of the benefit that can't be gained just hearing it from another/an-other.
Thanks for the videos Leo and all the work/play you do. It's helpful and appreciated
I've noticed this in many ways. It's simply the truth. From inside it comes. No one can tell you. Not because it's wrong, but because that's just how it is. And when you know an-other inside and out it becomes apparent what they/we are and what we really know. If you want to be good then you can't be bad very often even to yourself. There are not as many lies as there are people who are unaware and mismatched and for wrong reasons. Knowing an-other is sometimes just too much to maintain for long as it has a detrimental effect on the one that is good and aware!

10 minutes ago, Mooders said:Hi, I am relatively new to this have only been watching Leo's videos since december and I have never really used a forum before so sorry if this is a jumbled mess
I am currently studying in university doing an engineering degree, It involves a lot of maths and as i am not particularly well versed in maths it takes up a lot of time and willpower for me to get up to date on it. For me to be as succesful as i need to be I need to be devoting a lot of my time to maths however recently i discovered mindfulness and have become drawn to the idea however i worry it is having a negative impact on my university work.
When i am meditating i recieve happiness and peace from the spacial awareness and understanding that my problems are self made and simply do not exist however as I become more and more aware of this I become less motivated to make positive changes in the parts of my life that would bring me success in a career sense. I think this is due to the fact that if i am able to find happiness and peace in simple existence do i need monetary or career accomplishments?
I might be mistaken but i have interpretted leo's videos to be heading in a similar direction. A couple of videos ago (sorry i can't remember the specific title) he was explaining that he had achieved success however was worried that to dedicate too much of his life to this as he would regret it if he had not pursued enlightenment in the time he would otherwise invest into this success (this is of memory so sorry if this is incorrect).
Is there a way to achieve a perfect balance between enlightenment and success? Should i focus on my success now in this pivotal point in my life and invest more energy into enlightenment later? what works for you guys?
I did not really find a passion until I became more aware of enlightenment. Thankfully, at least one of my passions makes income. And now I'm in the process of turning my other passions into money makers. I lost my drives to do things that other people pushed me to do a long time ago. Just remember that most of that is to make someone else money. But don't get greedy when you figure out how to make yours, it will cloud your vision. And can turn you into easy prey.
I can say that the math, science, analytical, quantitative, qualitative, approximate, exact, ....understandings have been very important for me. Particularly the math and data analysis aspects. Not from an operative sense any more, but rather in understanding psychology and our existence in the collective being and our ability to coexist as proprietary beings.
Yes, you will have to find ways to focus and have desire to do your university work. These are things that come to me mostly when exercising in a "regular" way. Say, jogging or more active exercise is too busy to meditate on things like this. But riding a bike or walking for instance, seem to be great contemplative exercises that can allow you to think clearly enough to reach some of your own conclusions long enough to remember them or write them down.

BUT, once you've had the actual experience of your consciousness, it is and always remains the soil, the foundation of your own experience. All push and pull will only be "events", "happenings" on that ground. The urge to identify with them will disappear. It won't feel like "work" or like "striving" any longer.
You will only live in the realization of who you REALLY are
The experience fades away for a time when the identity is gone. And remembering alone happens on it's own time. Trying to push the rope by seeking company brings new dilemmas. Maslow's work is a favorite to me.
The majority of our world is designed to take more than it gives as all of us strive to climb out of the crab bucket. No magic pills or wands or endless flows of money or whatever. However, some people do seem to find "crutches" that they are comfortable with. As the crutch requires it's own devotion!
There's more to it than realizing who we really are. That doesn't seem to pay my bills at least!

19 hours ago, Ayla said:All of it is consciousness. No exceptions. It is the personality's push or pull of it that makes things "good" or "bad"
How hard it can be to control that push or pull is amazing. Sometimes we seem to get lots done in short periods of time while we have the drive or focus. I guess dissolving the identity is dissolving the personality at many levels. Consciousness gets mixed up in all kinds of interpretations when the boundaries or "box" of one's life is realized not to exist, all in the process of learning to bust it. Black and white don't seem to do it alone. Maybe shades of grey would be better. Those perceptions we can have of good and bad are so tied to the expectations that we can have of "things" based on thoughts we have that are usually only our own if we are very very conscious.
I guess we are all slipping in and out of consciousness fairly regularly.
