  1. @Quanty @Dodo haha yeah but I was applying an enlightenment sensibility to it. Invest in the red (pill). It's in your (best) interest. -Maze bank (as in THE maze). Sorry @Quanty didn't mean to tag you but can't delete it from phone... Maybe a thread dedicated to truth hidden in plain sight would be fun
  2. @ZZZZ I kind of come in and out of awareness about this myself... thank you for reminding me. What seems to work is not to judge yourself for judging, but be aware and maybe label it and let it go. Then go to the store, or anywhere that you might interact with people, and pick a few people that you will consciously pass by, smile at them (or not), and see how long you can go without passing judgement. Interject a positive thought about them concentrate on it until you pass by, not letting any judgment in. After so long it should become habit.
  3. I love Bashar's accent haha... Imagine translating an alien language (or no language) into english.
  4. you are right, but then again, is there really any difference between the universe sending you signs vs. yourself sending (picking up on) signs? The problem comes with putting meaning to them, when they are mostly just synchronicities/dream signs. If you study lucid dreaming, you'd know what I mean by dream signs
  5. I am hoping for the same thing... sure, we could find other forums to satisfy our hobbies and creativity, but we come here to associate with like-minded people(or ourselves ) although I bet decisions like that have to be run through leo first... unless he names a successor.
  6. Perhaps we are imprisoned. Perhaps for good reasons. perhaps when you free enough karma, you can go on early parole.
  7. @Sahil Pandit spoiler alert: i mean everything to you @Solace you guessed my riddle
  8. It is impossible to _______ anyone but yourself. a. help b. hurt c. hate/love d. fuck e. fuck over f. (add your own) edit: this is a non-duality related thread...
  9. @RichardY well I guess in the infinite possibilities, there could be a pocket universe where others exist outside of yourself. Then this list would be obsolete in that case.... although who dreamed up that universe? (you did...)
  10. @Sahil Pandit if you hurt me, you're hurting yourself. If you hurt yourself, you're hurting me. Have you hurt us lately? Personally I'm a little compulsive at it, so sorry for all the hurt!
  11. @MarkusSweden lol, its rhetorical
  12. @Solace For a while, at the end of an awakening and for a time thereafter, I slipped into a state of consciousness that felt very much like becoming lucid within a dream, I began yelling internally at something to wake up. The impressions I got was that it was something important, something masculine, and something that we've been trying to wake for a long time. Now, I know how this comes across but I had taken lsa and smoked a tiny bit of marijuana, which led to a very crazy but profound trip. So I remain skeptic that it was just ramblings of my imagination, but seeing your post reminded me of this, and am open to it being taken literally or symbolically. Although you say that the masculine entity has already awakened... I slipped into this state a couple more times with Marijuana, following this, and yes I realize that pot could be the underlying cause of this "state of mind" but just wanted to see what you thought about this. It's also possible it was a complete representation of my own awakening, but for some reason I'm feeling something global. As if it will never wake up until there are enough minds meditating its /their own awakening. Sort of like a collective conscience, or hive mind, directing the overall attention and consciousness of... What? Earth? The galaxy? The entire pocket universe that we currently exist in? Directing the attention towards love and awakening. But to what end? Now I'll be sober tomorrow and be embarrassed for saying all of that but what the hell...
  13. The only thing I will say about rep points is that it helps if someone likes and agrees with a post, they can just hit "like" instead of having to come up with something to say which may further derail a thread. I also think there should be more sub-forums, like a chat lounge for goofing off instead of spamming the more serious forums like enlightenment and self actualization ones. Also, I think self improvement should be in it's own sub-forum, because that is a subject that interests a lot of people, and most of those type of threads get lost in the rest of the SA forum.
  14. @cetus56 well they check their ipad, don't they? ok ok, I won't derail... um the answer is latent intuition/instinct
  15. I wonder how he will know when he hits day 30.... or will he just... "know"...
  16. @Arkandeus true, I did not think about this, that the biggest advantage may be the kick to ego. Just looking at this page, there's a lot of egos that can't even fathom this practice.
  17. is there a big old dude in the sky? No. Is there a collective consciousness that has no origin? look in the mirror. you are part of it. that is god.
  18. Ok finally tried this... Gosh I don't know how people do this for so long... I made it about 15 seconds before my lungs hurt so bad (that out of shape burn). My face flooded with heat and then after I stopped it felt like intense vibrations like I get if i wake up in sleep paralysis, all throughout my face and ears. My ears were tingling so much! This lasted for about another minute. Wow I have never felt such strong vibrations, much much stronger than a body buzz you get from being high or drunk. Am I just more sensitive to this? Most people seem to be reporting tingling after 10 minutes, not 15 seconds! I do smoke so perhaps I have different oxygen levels... (edit) I tried again, I must have been breathing too deep and fast that first time. This time I let it find its own rhythm and was able to last a few minutes, but definitely a good exercise for a cig smoker lol. (very very light smoker, mind you) I noticed the rhythm changed at least 4 or 5 times during my go, sometimes feeling like I was directing the breath, and sometimes following it. I let it find its own rhythm but consciously kept no pauses in between. Is this the correct way to do it, or should I also focus on a steady pace? Didn't feel the tingling in my head but in my hands this time. Then again, I had them behind my head this time so it's hard to tell if it was the going to sleep feeling, or tingling from the breathing because the feeling is similar. This definitely felt stronger than usual hands- going - to sleep vibrations, although it could have been a combination of the two. It's almost like it is activating the energy channels, at the chakra points maybe? Or at least the meridians. Perhaps different breathing rates and deepness affects different meridians/chakra points, energy blockages, trauma locations...
  19. @leon1234 The images come much easier to me when laying down, and as @Rilles suggested, you should look into hypnagogic images and how to induce those. This should be a separate practice than regular meditation, which is done sitting up, and also which you should be ignoring or at least not engaging with these images. In this practice, you will lay down, let the images come, and then even try to manipulate them a bit. I love exploring my mind's imagery, since sometimes the images have to do with what I am thinking about, and sometimes something completely random, which gives you more insight into your subconscious and inner self. other things that will help are of course opening your third eye, detoxing your pineal gland, and visualization practices. here's a really neat video that I found that has you visualizing various things to practice:
  20. @Solace @pluto do you think stronger benefits would be after waking up and it's been stewing all night and dark yellow (extremely salty) or later in day after drinking water and is more clear (less salty)
