  1. Yea I wrote some things a month ago about the limits of spiral dynamics closely related to this. To be truly open minded you have to be able to be at ease with any paradigm without resistance coming up in the body - one which is that spiral dynamics is completely wrong, or that stage red is higher than turquoise regardless of whether or not it is true.
  2. Would it be a good idea to have a stage yellow sub forum where we could discuss any topics in a meta way? I would love that.
  3. Yea that's why i typed it out and put it on here as I realised as i was watching it that the settings were changed to private maybe for his paid members? So I decided to type it out here as I thought it was worth sharing.
  4. That's the main difference between stage green and stage turquoise right?
  5. I am wanting to make a comprehensive list of all the good parts of the lower stages of spiral dynamics. I do this to help me integrate more into stage Yellow as a lot of stage yellow is about seeing the good in the lower stages. I would like to focus on Blue, Orange and Green as I don't feel Red is too relevant today. I would be very grateful if people would add to it to make it more comprehensive. Blue Care for family Being a good citizen Looking out for your neighbour Community having a nation you can be proud of forgiveness having a map for how to live less confusion as you know what to do and how things are support from people around you (church groups) less complications Deep love for the nation, bible, people in your in group Orange supporting your family financially independence freedom creativity take life in your own hands productivity logical rational more analytical can create a life you want (how you always dreamt) capitalism can lifts others up work hard and be rewarded sense of achievement taking action rather than just theory Green Caring Empathy relative world centric understands issues more deeply (without environmental care there will be no way of boosting the economy) community compassion less suppression of true emotions more understanding of what we are (not defined by gender, race, status etc) equality trying to change things for the better transparency communication
  6. Yea that's something im currently looking into. Can you be in a very present state and live a life. I've come to the conclusion you can and you aren't denying life but actually enriching it. You just don't have all the worries of an egoic identity which can actually hold you back. When you start out I think its important to find some place quiet to meditate where you can be by yourself but as Mooji says you should develop out of this rather than spiritual bypassing - go do all the things you want to do, meditate on a busy crowded loud urban jungle like a crowded train station in New Delhi.
  7. cold turkey to limit mindless internet surfing time facebook news eradicator DF Tube for youtube - only allows you to look at you subscriptions on youtube to stop mindless streaming dictionary look up words- enhance my vocabulary (none of these are apps they are all chrome extensions but same same)
  8. i read Trump and a Post-Truth World. A good analyses of Trump from a spiral dynamics perspective.
  9. He's definitely got 2 sides to him that he's fighting with. The business materialist side and the spiritual side. The business side has completely taken over him since the David Icke interview, nevertheless this is a very good documentary.
  10. They are if by keeping the economy up and running it's killing people in excess surely?
  11. As a stage green country, Sweden took a more stage orange approach to tackling Covid19 than most stage orange countries. They focussed on their economy over the wellbeing and health of their people and are once of the only countries whose economy has grown throughout this. According to the spiral dynamics model green is more about community and welfare of people over the economy but actually all the stage orange countries were about the welfare of their people over the economy, how can this be?
  12. yea i like the whole dopamine addiction idea - wanting to consume more and more just for the dopamine but never putting it into action. Def one to look out for.
