  1. Please, if you are suffering get professional help! There are many other perspectives you can experience in life and even if its hard, you have to believe its possible. The world is not against you. Obviously i dont know you and its a bit weird to say this, but i love you! And if you want to continue learning about spirituality, i recommend you study Eckhart Tolle. You can learn from him something thats really important to understand. The difference between thoughts and reality. I wont attempt to explain, go learn about it! I dont know much about OCD, but even for regular people its important to not theorize too much. Thats why they are recommending to you to take a walk. Try to not get stuck in your head. I hope this is helpful and if its not, please get professional help! Its important. And then maybe consider getting off of this forum, not that you are not welcome here, but maybe its triggering for you.
  2. This is easily one of the most fascinating topics. @Natasha Tori Maru That story was mind bogling, thanks for sharing.
  3. @Ishanga my joke doesnt reflect my actual stance on this. Judging by the way things are unfolding, my prediction is that in our life time there wont be a hands on evidence made public. And that would be the only type of evidence that would be able to sway the public opinion. Regarding me, i keep an open mind about it. For me its obvious how impossible is the idea that we are alone in the universe, but its a different question if they are or have been visiting us. Without actual hands on evidence i cant state: yes, they are here; no matter how much i’d like to do that. Thats how many many people feel nowadays with all these whistleblowers, i imagine. On the other hand i know from first hand experience that supernatural or paranormal phenomena exists, so thats where im coming from. And then about these guys coming out, David Grusch for example came across very much genuine to me and his story made a lot of sense.
  4. The day the public gets some hand on evidence, Joe Rogans ego is going to get out of control. Lol
  5. That seems like a pretty fruitful self reflection. Good on you!
  6. It would be awesome if someone who kept up with this made a topic about this to share all the information, im really curious as well.
  7. Im just curious which country would you choose to move to?
  8. Like you guys also mentioned before, it depends on how you define enlightenment. I can think of 2 legit definitions. People who experience day to day life without a sense of Self that everyone else has. Ordinary people with deep comprehension of the nature of God, maybe including those with enlightenment experiences, but you could argue that this could be further divided into a third category for people like Martin Ball whos sense of Self comes and goes. Some would argue that strictly speaking only the first category qualifies, but then i think it would be practical to have a name or something for the second category.
  9. I can be somewhat autistic sometimes and so i once calculated that statistically speaking every big city should have one enlightened person living in it. I cant remember the exact math, but there wasnt too much thought behind it. Lol If you say there is 1 enlightened person out of 5 million, that makes 68 enlightened people in the USA. And i would say 1 in 5 million is a very conservative number, but i wouldnt even say thats my opinion thats how very little idea i have about it. And then out of 68 enlightened Americans there should be 4 or 5 present on this forum. Well actually even more if you think Leo’s teachings contribute to this number.
  10. Interesting, here is how normal distribution (from statistics) sounds like according to him!
  11. I saw a different source telling about this, im pretty sure there are interviews with people who worked there as well. Wont go there either.
  12. I wasnt sure if this was worth my time. If you found it interesting i might give it a shot… EVENTUALLY! (Leo is already threatening us with a new video and i havnt even finished the current one) (life is good) (but would be better with more time)
  13. For me its not about eating meat or not, its what we do to the animals in the process.
  14. @Carl-Richard My point wasnt directed at the original topic. You just asked: should everybody do this thing? And my point is, yes if humanity worked together as a whole, we would be able to do wonders compared to how much we manage to accomplish currently. Even just something as small as donating 15 dollars would do wonders if everyone took part in it. Imagine a corporation that runs on this premise. I googled and 40 billion dollars annually would solve world hunger. Again this isnt a flashed out idea, just an example.
  15. If humanity came together to focus on solving a problem, we would easily solve 80% of our systemic problems in a decade. In your example lets say most people from first world countries and developing countries put down just 15 dollars to finance a malaria-prevention plan. If we calculate with about 5 billion people - which i think would be fair to assume could affor 15 dollars for that - we made 75 billion dollars. Dont you think that would be a huge impact ? And then next year you give 15 dollars for something else. I havent tought this through at all, this is just a thought experimetn from my part.
  16. Awesome! I still havent finished with the conformity video, but bring it on!!
  17. From an evolutionary point of view we arent herbivores but omnivores. With that being said i think the average person would benefit from eating less meat. But there is a lot more thats wrong with the way we feed ourselves, on a systemic level. About the way we handle animals, its the most triggering part of humanity for me... im disgusted to think about it. If i would be a dictator on earth, it would be the first thing i would change.
  18. I havent heard about the children before, but i heard how they are mistreating adults. Its crazy to think about that this is happening in the USA. I mean its not news that this stuff happens, but Trump definitely escalated it with ICE. I have been thinking about how ordinary people could influence politics and events in the world and pressure governments etc. The main issue is definitely that the majority of the population is stuck dealing with their own survival day to day. Communication is definitely a key factor in this. I also often wonder about the effectiveness of protesting?
  19. Very eye opening and shocking. Really good example for self-deception. Thanks for posting.
  20. I got his book about Inner Engineering. Haven’t finished it, but i liked what i read. Typical Sadhguru stuff.
  21. Also what Sincerity wrote! I could not have said better! Best advice.
  22. You are misapplying the concept of solipsism. Please just trust me on this. You need more spiritual maturity to handle it, so just go and learn about other aspects of spirituality and forget about solipsism alltogheter. Its not even true, as far as you should be concerned. Im using an authorative tone, because no amount of explaining will do. Start with contemplating about what is a concept versus reality. Eckhart Tolle will help you on this. Also i believe this is the correct link where Leo explains the difference between the map and the territory. But dont confuse semantic understanding something that Leo said in a video with deep comprehension. Other than that you are always welcome here to ask questions and share your thoughts! Godspeed!
  23. I only saw the first 45 minutes, but so far its great! Thank you, Leo! Also the costume is crazy!
  24. My apologies i read your topic fully, but i came up only with a generalised answer, not specifically for you. A bad childhood or any bad experience is a blessing, as long as you are able to overcome it. I feel like this is a bad answer, but i can elaborate more maybe later. You said you graduated college in 2008, hows it been since then?
