  1. Over the years, I have become incredibly sensitive too and I can sense people's energies which makes going out extremely overwhelming and almost energetically "dirty" for me. I never used to have this. It has its challenges but it's also been incredibly aligning when you actually process and learn from the information that's being given. My question is, does your actual hearing override the clairaudience, for example, can you hear better in physically quiet vs noisy environments? Have you experimented with noise cancelling, sensory deprivation etc to see if you can hear more in a controlled way?
  2. I like how you told your GPT to reason from first principles just like I did with mine Would they want to express a sense of betrayal? It still shows the world that they're suckers. Seems like when it's really all over, they'd want to disidentify quietly and sweep it under the rug.
  3. Donald Trump sees the US deficit as the US being ripped off by other countries, and wants tariffs to not only restore American manufacturing, but reverse the massive deficit with massive tariff revenues. He's been crystal clear on this, even before his first Presidential term. This is nothing new. He will see it to the end, because just needs to be right and cannot let himself lose. This has a national security element as well, because manufacturing is used for military purposes in times of war. This whole proposed strategy is exactly what China is doing. China is protectionistic to give their domestic manufacturing a powerful edge that allowed China to become the 2nd world power and a manufacturing powerhouse. There are influential voices within the Trump administration who see a decoupling with China as the strategy to take. The comically large 60% tariffs that make most trade unfeasible with China suggests this. This is the biggest point of concern because the effect on the American economy cannot be understated, the Federal Reserve simply does not have the levers to pull to deal with the damage that this will do. The situation is fluid.
  4. Is the rock thinking or are humans thinking with rocks? We made the design, we made the programs 🙂
  5. I remember a time when drawing tablets like Wacom were incredibly expensive and specialised. So as a hobby digital artist (pretty sure you could be a professional artist as well) I want to recommend the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, with Procreate software for delivering an incredible digital art experience. Plus it's not just for making art, it does all the iPad things as well. I no longer keep drawers full of paper, supplies and sketchbooks at all, or worry about debris, smudges and marks everywhere, yet can still fully indulge in my art. (photo is not mine)
  6. I also got robot cleaner recently. Having the robot clean for you instead of needing to hire someone or spend hours every week cleaning has been a subtle but very liberating improvement to my life. I feel like the technology and reliability has reached a point where it isn't an extra hassle but really improves your life. I was recommended the Ecovacs brand from someone who was raving about it and I also recommend it. There's plenty of models so you can choose one that fits your needs. This is the app screen of mine.
  7. For new releases I am most looking forward to Monster Train 2 and Slay The Spire 2, because I'm a sucker for roguelike deckbuilders Besides that I currently play Honkai Star Rail and Old School Runescape Any OSRS players?
  8. You can absolutely be an highly spiritual person and be a Trump lover. I've met many of these people. All you have to do is believe in false narratives and be tricked by his reality distortion bubble. Just because you had some mystical experiences doesn't mean you're immune to self deception or know a lot about politics, psychology etc.
  9. @Nilsi Do you attest to the build quality? If it's luggage, it's gonna get tossed around like a pinball
  10. Could you recommend where to find those?
  11. I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair a few months ago. It's a bit pricey, but it has a 12 year warranty. You buy it with the mindset of expecting to use this thing for a decade or more. Think of all the garbage chairs you would burn through and all the headaches. I am astounded they make products like this. Given how much people sit, this is literally life changing. I bought it online and it's perfect, but if you have a physical dealer, why not go there and sit in one for yourself. It still looks like I bought it yesterday. I recommend this as the Jesus Christ Holy Grail Mother of All Chairs.
  12. If the Trump devil breaks something, our lord Jerome Powell and the Fed will ease financial conditions. This is not the big bust, we can kick the can down the road a few more years. When interest rates are near zero, and there is a recession, with much higher inflation, is when I'd be actually concerned that the levers are broken. https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/no-fed-put-when-its-unclear-which-way-economy-may-pivot-2025-04-07/
  13. @Leo Gura My approach is to hold some cash but stay in the market. I do not believe in timing the market as my core strategy because the biggest gains happen over such incredibly short timeframes. If you miss those, you miss the gains. I have sat out bear markets before and I have no problem sitting out this one. The sun will rise again once more, and if it doesn't, there are probably much bigger problems. I think Bitcoin is great as well. I've studied it a lot and it's just a solid system.
  14. Hi guys. On my journey I have eliminated from my life incredibly addictive things such as alcohol, cigarettes, red meat and other chemicals. Mostly by developing myself but also by using Leo's method of cultivating intense awareness which has been pivotal in understanding the patterns and breaking addictions. The one challenge I noticed had recently that I didn't always have is Caffeine addiction and withdrawal. This manifests as a very painful headache when you miss your daily tea (I don't drink coffee). This is a bit of dual problem because the tea beceause usually the tea beverage I buy contains sugar too. I noticed even with quitting supposedly addictive things like tobacco and alcohol, the physical withdrawal is not as strong as caffeine. I don't end up in actual physical pain. But with the caffeine withdrawal headache, I actually end up in quite a debilitated state of headaches and physical pain which makes me have to drink some caffeine to relieve the pain. I would just pop a painkiller but I'm legit wondering if I'm gonna hurt myself since pain is the body's signal and it might be telling you not to push it. Wondering if anyone has any experience with caffeine withdrawal and quitting caffeine especially focused on: 1. Dealing with very strong, debilitating physical pain / headaches of withdrawal. 2. Quitting tools and modalities 3. Health effect or danger of the headaches Thanks!
  15. My investor bias is showing
  16. If you believe it's here to stay why'd you get out. Are you going back in? Lol
  17. Nothing moves in a straight line. If I had to place a bet, I would say the lows are not in for the year. I hope you all kept some cash. BTC is still doing well long term at least, although it sucks to see
  18. Donald Trump publicly having absolutely zero respect or pretense about Federal Reserve Independence, exactly like in his first term. Do you think Jerome Powell caves and cuts rates?
  19. Yes, the environment is way worse now Yes he is already using propaganda metrics that's why those tariff numbers were total BS, the numbers were so blatantly whatever Donald Trump wanted. The nuance there is that there are real non-tariff trade barriers, like regulatory uncertainty for foreign companies in China, etc. Higher prices are already being normalized, and it's not sustainable. Still, it's helpful to understand the rate of price change, as it varies a lot and tells us how much the can is being kicked down the road. Looking at multiple inflation metrics is a start which is what I do, but if you had the time, you would devise your own. Because you are right, the metrics were already so full of nonsense before this, what will happen now with Trump? There are no levers to pull to magically change things, and the system is too complex, that's why very counterintuitive things happen. People were certain we were going to get hyperinflation or chaos or fundamental systemic breakdown after covid because the situation and stimulus (certain levers pulled) was truly absurd and unprecedented, but look where we are, there was a remarkable inertia and stability to the system that people did not expect, and many people still don't get today.
  20. Plus the US as a nation just has so much more power. Trump came into power when the US was at a strong position (as it always has been). Xi and Putin respect hierarchy and they know they're not number 1. Russia will never be and China just isn't there yet. They're always going up. The question is not if they're going up or not, the question is what is the rate prices are going up. That's why I said inflation is the rate of change, but tariffs are one time flat increases. I'm not saying prices could decrease. That would be deflation which basically not a thing. The point is, regarding prices, focus on the measured trajectory, not on the sporadic events. I'm not saying this is the last wave of tariffs. There have been tariffs from Trump since he took office in 2016 and will feasibly continue.
  21. The funny part is that the blanket tariffs were supposedly to prevent middlemen yet the differences between even nearby nations can be so stupidly huge. Those nations already well integrated in supply chains and satisfy other cost considerations can use it to their advantage to take an almost finished good, slap their name on it, and export it to the US. The catch is if they do that they will improve their trade balance with the US which invites more tariffs if they keep up this nonsense. Lol Having said that the environment is still worse off as it encourages less international trade. Also, to put things into context, the whole tariffs and trade war thing has been going around since Trump's first term in 2016 and the economic system has not been destroyed yet. Although this is probably the biggest escalation so far. Tariffs are flat one time changes in prices, inflation is the rate of change. Worry about inflation. When the growth slows there will be less inflation. Also it's not binary between boom and bust. You can have meh growth meh inflation
  22. The decision to drag Trump and his cronies out on the streets is not purely economic. But it matters because people only care about their survival. Most people don't even have stocks. Most people aren't not feeling any economic pain now. It's way too early for the layoffs. They only come later when business slowly go bust. The counterpoint to that is even massive crises like covid are often overblown. Remember when people were expecting massive hyperinflation and rapid system imposions. They were wrong We will see how much Trump can destroy or leave irreparable. But there are mechanisms and structures in place with decades of inertia, what has been built up is resilient. That doesn't mean Trump is not causing massive harm, he absolutely is. That is the nuance I believe
  23. He is also the cousin of Paul Anka. Lol
  24. That's true, if nothing else works, I will have to probably get way more methodical with managing the dose decreases. Thank you
