  1. @thehero Why does it seem like what you're saying in your post is directed towards me as if you knew exactly who I am? Not looking to change anyone but myself. Already learned the hard way, trying to change the people around me in the past with no success. These days I just let people be. I was just interested in what people have to say about this topic.
  2. @Sahil Pandit next thing you know everyone's got a question mark in their dp Lol but for real though, mine is significant to because it's an album cover of a popular rapper who passed recently, and who is one of my favorite artists at the moment. But he wasn't just any rapper he seemed like an intellectual. Little bit of a spiritual ego but that makes him so interesting.
  3. Let me share a bit of my story. So my name in real life is "Godfrey" and throughout my entire life, I've had multiple people call me "God" for short. And I actually don't mind it, nowadays I tell people to call me "God" for short if they want. One of the workplaces I've worked at was at this huge restaurant, and this one manager started this whole thing one time and kept calling me "God." He spread it among my other co-workers, now everyone else kept calling me "God." Then I'll never forget this, but one day one of my co-workers was making a joke about how I was God, and starting asking me questions about life. One of the questions he asked was, "God, what is the purpose of life?" In a jokingly but serious manner I answered, "Maybe the purpose of life is to go find the purpose." He went silent and acted as if he didn't hear me.
  4. Maybe its your journey to find out
  5. @denydritz Well, what is the difference between a mindset problem and a psychological problem? For one to lose millions of dollars within' a couple of years is definitely a psychological issue. You can also word it differently and call it a mindset problem or poor money management skills. There's also the possibility that the lottery winner can actually keep and maintain his winnings if his inner psychology was developed enough. Same with the example of a business owner selling their business for millions of dollars. There's a possibility that the business owner could go broke after selling their business if they had poor money management skills. But that's quite rare because most successful business owners usually tend to have good money management skills. And I'm pretty sure money management and money psychology are closely related, or pretty much the same thing. Leo has a pretty good video on money psychology and he goes pretty in depth on the topic so I recommend you watch it if you haven't. @Sahil Pandit I have no idea. We went there on new years eve one year, we enjoyed it, now my parents keep suggesting it, and my siblings agree. They all keep coming to an agreement to eat there, I'm usually the one who doesn't really mind I just want to eat. But now my birthday is coming up and I think I just might suggest something else. They really need to try something new. By the way, nice profile pic, where did you get the idea for that? lol
  6. My prediction for an upcoming Leo video. What is death?
  7. @Principium Nexus I agree with the fact that keeping your profits is the most essential part of trading. It really is a psychological issue for people to not be able to keep their profits. I can say so myself because I’ve had a hard time keeping my profits in the cryptocurrency market last year. Was up a couple thousand from NEO, but it was out of pure speculation. I bought into the hype. Then out of greed I wanted more, and just left my money in the market. Then obviously December came along. Definitely learned a lot out of that, and I’m learning to be a lot more careful with my money. I’ve just always have been the type to make impulsive purchases but now I’m just being more aware of my spending habits and slowing it down, especially with my trades. One thing that self-actualization has helped me with is leaning away from society and all the social norms, and living a life of minimalism. Which has lead me to not buy almost anything. Don’t need new clothes or any of that. I work, gym, go home, repeat. Saves me a lot of money. Now I have the money to put into my investments. Only recent impulsive buys I’ve made recently were some items I bought on Black Friday. But they’re not purchases for me to enjoy, they’re just purchases for me to flip and make some profit on. I see my profits being at least 10-20% per item. Holding onto them for a bit, probably til mid December since there definitely will be a ton of competitors on the market selling the same exact thing. Currently not in the Crypto or Stock market. Crypto for sure isn’t looking too good right now. I’m looking to get into the Stock market at one point but during a 10+ year bull market probably isn’t a good time to start to get in. I’m curious, what are you saying about online buying, Amazon, and the economy? I’m just getting into Amazon FBA at the moment as an Amazon seller in 2019 and was wondering if I would be heavily affected by any market crashes, or if the economy got worse? I’m still in my early 20s so I obviously haven’t really lived through something like the great depression or anything similar to that so I don’t fully understand how a bad economy affects certain things. Definitely going to go and learn some more about the history of economic crashes.
  8. @Principium Nexus Flipping is basically just buying an item at a low price and selling it at a higher price for a profit. In RS you buy multiple of a specific item at the lowest price people are willing to sell at then once you get them you just sell them at the highest price people are willing to pay at. Its like looking at the bid/ask and the spread when trading the financial markets. Cool, what market you trade in? I trade Forex but I still consider myself a beginner after several months. Sounds like you’re explaining a pump and dump but on RS. I actually haven’t seen that before on RS, I don’t join those clans, but I’ve definitely got involved in one of those in the cryptocurrency market and lost some money. Although I joined one of those clans once and they tell you that a specific rare will insta-buy at 83M for example and when you buy it, they probably made a profit. There definitely still is a lot of manipulation going on today on the RS market, I still see a lot. Honestly, when will manipulation ever stop in any financial markets? Probably never, or maybe in a trillion years who knows.
  9. @Principium Nexus I've played Runescape as well, since 03 and honestly I still do today. I also tend to think of skills in real life as something you can "level up," and the only way you can really level these skills is having the direct experience. Same thing with Runescape, I need 83 exp to get from level 1 to level 2. In real life its like, I need to take more action in order to develop this skill. I won't really get to level 2 by listening to a whole bunch of theory. I won't get to level 2 by reading oldschool.runescape.wiki guides online. I have to actually DO IT. Kill the goblins. Do the quests. Sit there for hours training range, slayer, whatever tf it is, do it in order to develop the skills. Another thing I love about RS is the grand exchange system. It sort of works like the stock market, and I've learned a lot about flipping with the grand exchange. Flipping on the GE is something I've been doing now for 2 years, and honestly I've sold a bit of gold doing so. RS paid for my transit bus pass one time when my money was low. Flipping is just so fun for me to do. It also lead me to flip some things IRL as well. So it definitely taught me a lot about that. You will go through some losses, and you will go through some profitable days. I admit it though, its fun but it gets pretty distracting for me.
  10. At this point in my life, I’ve come to the realization that I don’t completely understand the value of relationships. I just feel that I’ve grown to become super super independent that it just doesn’t make any sense. My mindset is literally like, “I can do everything myself, and I don’t want to deal with other people’s psychological issues, or emotional needs.” Especially when I’m learning more and more about myself, my ego, and the topic of human psychology, there’s just so much out there that sometimes it could also be hard to trust another. What if they are manipulative? Maybe they have an issue around this or that? What if they lie and cheat? But its not even mainly a trust issue, its just more like its already tough dealing with my own self that I don’t see the need to deal with another person. Of course there’s business relationships, other people are talented in one area and you can outsource your work to other people, save time, this and that. But you can do a lot of that stuff over the internet nowadays, you don’t even have to see the person’s face. Then there’s intimate relationships, friends or family, and its like ok they provide love and fun but I just don’t feel I have a strong need for a lot of that stuff anymore. I’m fine with myself. Would be nice if I had more of it, but its just not a strong need for me to have any of it. A lot of my motivation comes from within, but sometimes I don’t push myself enough, so maybe I guess that’s where it can help to work with other people. Plus I guess you can learn a lot from other people, people may know stuff that you don’t, so there’s that as well. Just trying to understand the value of working with other people, especially when one of my top values is independence. I know in theory that its probably just a phase, but maybe I’m looking to break out of it? What are your thoughts?
  11. @Omni Definitely agree with what you’re saying here. 1st paragraph, okay you mentioned independence is a collective effort, it takes the cooperation of people to get here right? Then that means I’ve already had the hundreds of interactions with other people in order to see that there’s value no value in any of it? But I don’t see your point here? You’re just reinforcing the fact that there’s no value in interpersonal relationships for me. 2nd paragraph, main reason why I made this post is because of a potential business “team” that I rejected just today. We sat down for coffee, they all wanted to pitch money together, I just met them, so pretty normal for me to have trust issues, especially when it comes to money. Am I like this when it comes to making friends no not really. But still don’t see a ton of value in friends, etc. Agree with you on the 3rd paragraph. So is it more of a suppression of my emotions? Or is it me proving to myself that I don’t need anyone? Is it me working on my comfortability to ‘be alone’ like what sages do? Maybe its a mix of the two? Definitely have had my experiences of networking, cold approach, and all that. Now I’ve come to this point. What do I do now?
  12. If so, then what is it? Personally I sometimes listen to guided meditations like Leo’s, affirmations, subliminal message affirmations, and currently binaural beats.
  13. @1nsight Pickup usually tends to produce a “fake growth” in a lot of guys after a ton of consistency. Especially with the theory mentioning, “be non-reactive to the girl! Non-reactive is attractive! Handle her shit-tests like a man.” That theory usually turns into a belief, the guy feels the need to act non-reactive, but its more of a suppression of one’s feelings rather than actual growth that we might talk about in a spiritual or personal-development sense. My story, done consistent pickup for over a year, became quite narcissistic, was an asshole, suppressed feelings, manipulative, on the outside I seemed tough, but on the inside I was dying. I had enough awareness of these behaviours that I wanted a change. So most importantly I stopped pickup, then all I did was a ton of self-reflection, sitting in solitude, contemplation, meditation. So you probably won’t be able to change today, but it takes time, slow down on the pickup, self-reflect a lot, and you should be fine.
  14. Not specifically about money, but I guess I’ve learned quite a bit about the sales perspective when it comes to get-rich-quick-schemes. Maybe its obvious for some people, and maybe its not for others, but just wanted to share. Money is definitely an emotional topic, so often times what the sales people do is play with your emotions in order for you to buy their course or their service, etc. I’ve seen this many times, they take some business opportunity like MLM, trading the financial markers, e-commerce, whatever it is, and they market it as a get rich quick. They make it sound easy, they make it sound like its the best opportunity, and that way you buy whatever it is they’re marketing to you. Especially when they mention that its not a get rich quick. They will say something like, “If you find a get rich quick then please let me know because this is not one!” They’re trying to do a bit of honest marketing there, but I still see that as a way to manipulate others. But don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that there aren’t great opportunities out there, you can definitely make money in these opportunities but the reality of it is that it takes time and effort like a lot of things. For example, Forex trading is something I do on the side, and I often see it marketed as a get-rich-quick. Sure it definitely can be one if you have a large starting capital, risk your whole account, and trade short time frames, but trading that way often results in a huge loss. With a long-term approach to it, the reality of it is at best maybe around 50% profit of your account size in a year. So with a $1000 account, a good long-term trader would be able to turn that into $1500 within a year. So these days I’m starting to see the reality of most of these online businesses. Dropshipping reality, you need to generate a ton of traffic first before it takes off, through ads and perfect audience targeting. Trading reality, consistent practice with a potential of around 50% your account. Amazon FBA, potential profits are under 50% of your investment with some exceptions. Although you can sell your business for a large sum of money if it does well. MLM, manipulative as heck, reality is manipulate friends and family to join and that money gets split between you and several other people. Okay this is getting a bit long so those are my thoughts.
  15. What are they like in an intimate relationship? Does Yellow even have the ability to sustain a long-term intimate relationship with his/her strong sense of independence and complex thinking? Personally I think that their partner would have to have almost a perfect match with their level of intellectual understanding of reality, which I think is quite rare.
  16. That wasn't directed towards you I'm just saying its one of the habits to implement for anyone in general. I think pickup would help you become an attractive person. Mainly in the sense that it would bring you external growth, it would bring you confidence on the outside. And that's important for what you're trying to pursue here with creating a self-actualizing community through public speaking, right? Public speaking and the ability to keep the audience engaged is to have confidence. You won't get that just by reading a book. And when I say attractive, I don't just mean attractive to the opposite sex, but to anyone in general. No one wants to listen to some shy person on stage talking about something they're not passionate about and something they don't embody themselves. They want to listen to someone who is confident and speaks clearly. Leo mentioned that he has done pickup in the past if you didn't know. I'm sure that was foundational for him in his success with shooting his videos.
  17. @Amadeusz Honestly develop and go as deep as possible into Orange. In my opinion Orange is probably the most important stage in one's development. And if you feel you need to dive deeper into blue as well, then do so. Taking your time developing each stage is the best thing you can do to eventually become an effective Yellow. Of course there will be traps along the way so be aware of those. Although the process of noticing each one and overcoming them can be a great learning experience.
  18. I did the same. Had super toxic friends, it was necessary for me to cut them off in order for me to grow. Definitely felt lonely at one point as well, I cried that I didn't have anyone. Nowadays I love my solitude, I value it over a lot of things.
  19. @bejapuskas Just by doing the self-actualization work yourself. Contemplation, meditation, self-inquiry, applying the theory into your life and seeing it actually happen rather than just blindly believing everything Leo says, all that. You can definitely tell apart from who’s just sharing cool ideas and spreading an ideology vs someone who is passionate about what they do. You can also grow yourself externally, I’m sure it could help with sounding more convincing. Through the gym, practicing more public speaking, networking, etc. Maybe you can even practice doing videos? So its not really just going in one direction, but its more about going in multiple directions and your results in those multiple directions will translate into everything else. I personally don’t lead any teams or groups currently because my life went completely solo by choice, almost like a sage. But with previous experience I did a bit of business and lead a small team. All I was doing was pretty much what I mentioned, gym, public speaking, meditation, reading, networking, and cold-approaching strangers on the street. Doing all of that with tons of consistency just snowballed and I honestly would say that’s when my personality was at its peak. I attracted a lot of people into my life it was almost like magic. And when I was cold-approaching strangers, I had no job so I literally went out every day for at least 4-6 hours per day. Had a small group I went out with. Also did pickup, and same thing, consistently everyday for up to 6 hours, we went out to malls, streets downtown, clubs, and schools. So maybe try that, the external results are important too cause that’s mainly the only thing that people can see. People can see your confidence, but they can’t really see if you have been working on your inner game, like your metaphysical understanding or questioning of reality for example. Sure they can if you talk about it, but body language and confidence is the thing that shows the most.
  20. @bejapuskas Through practice and doing the work yourself. So that will come with time. Leo has been doing videos since 2013, maybe even earlier who knows. And that’s why he’s gotten so good at it. Any books? Yes there’s a book for you its called, “How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. Very popular book in the self-help industry.

  22. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of information on this topic. What is the presence of Stage Yellow and Turquoise people like? Just like how we can determine who is an alpha male just by observing their body language, how do we figure out who's Yellow and Turquoise? I remember Leo talked about about the presence of Turquoise for a bit in the Turquoise episode, but I'm just trying to get more of an understanding of it.
  23. @Leo Gura When will we have the official announcements? Unless it has been stated in this thread, I haven't looked through these hundreds of posts
