  1. Haha, I'm 17 and on the journey too. Good luck!
  2. Notice, it's not the game that is negative. It's your reaction to it. I play csgo too, have a lot of hours in it practise hard to get good at it. I'm not addicted to it anymore as I used to be, just something that I do as a side thing now. Use it to up my mindfulness game too, when you feel a negative trigger in you ( because you have toxic teammates whatever) you can become mindful of this. I have had multiple times where I was playing and I was just in this meditative state, pretty cool.
  3. @Dan Arnautu Thanks, haven't even read that one yet hehe. Great suggestion! @Christian Ye when I was typing I was already realizing that everyone has different problems. I still want to help others though, I know how it feels to be in a dark place and not know where to go. Don't want others to experience the same
  4. As the title says I have been experiencing really frightening panic attacks. When I meditate I force myself to face these issues that create the panic attacks, but I feel like it is only cultivating these attacks. My question is what can I do to get past all this? I know I should see this as a challenge and that the only sane way is to accept and observe, but these attacks are just so incredibly painful, I don't know what to do. When I'm in the middle of it, observing just seems so hard.
  5. @Visionary My first intention 2 years ago ofcourse was to relieve anxiety and become peaceful, centered Now after this little while my motivation is completely different. I want to grow my consciousness and fix the problems I've created in my younger years. I want to walk this path that leads to Truth. 1 month ago these fears started to bubble up and that's when the panic attacks and the increased anxiety started. This is hopefully just another process where I will come out with growth. Thanks for the tips all of you, I will study them and try to apply them.
  6. I have been doing concentration practise for 3 months now I think. I did not notice any signs of improvement. Maybe that's just my ADD that keeps me from improving my concentration but it is still bugging me. Grats with the growth though, I can see how that improves your school and spiritual practise!
  7. @Splion Tolle is not saying you should stop thinking. He says that the mind is an incredible instrument if used correctly. Only when thoughts become destructive it is only natural you want them to disappear. He teaches how to become the observer of the mind ( who you already are ) A lot of people love Tolle's work, A lot don't find it useful. But for those who do get something great out of it. it is awesome. Everyone has his own opinion and prefered teacher, so if you don't like him that's completely fine
  8. @Martin123 I will do so! @Shin When I feel stressed or in panic, I get this tingeling painful feeling on the left side of my chest. During meditation when I go deep or I get an insight, this feeling deepens and I feel light in my stomache too. It feels a bit like the start of a panic attack Even though I know my heart is fine, when I have this feeling in my chest I still get so incredibly scared. I feel so disconnected and alone, like I'm going to die. I have had this since about 3 months now.
  9. For quite some time now during my 40 minute meditation sessions I sometimes get this very tight feeling in my chest. I've had a check on my heart and lungs done about 3 weeks ago so it shouldn't be anything with a physical root. Any of you have experienced this too? Or know what this is? Thanks for helping me out, Max
  10. I had an interesting thought this morning, 'What if we weren't born with breathing automaticly and always had to control it every time, wouldn't we always be in te moment?' Pretty cool that such a little thing could change human consciousness What are you guys thoughts on this?
  11. @Sobiesky5 That sounds quite obvious haha, I will try that. I know that craving is not good, but I really want a girlfriend.
  12. I'm 17 so I'm quite new to dating and everything. What I would like to know is, how do I approach a woman?. How do I come across the right way? What do I say? Damn this is difficult
  13. @The Monk That sounds like an awesome plan dude, I can be your wingman haha. @username I watched some of RSD Max, he just resonated with me
  14. @The Monk I'm from the Netherlands! This is perfect dude, only an hour apart right?
  15. @The Monk That sounds like an awesome plan ma man!
  16. @The Monk Thanks for giving me the advice, I'm really working on becoming more authentic so that's already a step in the right direction. I'm a guy who likes to sit at home, do personal development, meditate and play counter strike. Even though I like all these things I just have this deep urge to get a girlfriend, to go out maybe, do new stuff. That's pretty new for me as I was always against that sort of stuff. More or less very afraid of what might happen too ( I still am). I want to try get into day approach etc, I have the feeling that might help me get better communicative skills too. I'm really sorry that you got rejected man, but I guess it's all part of the process. Learning and growing from it and trying it again next time with more courage and confidence. Good luck on your journey man, stay strong!
  17. @Shin I've started the Trinfinity academy, you have did it too right? Has it been any good for you? I'm at Introduction part 3 now, 'Everything has presence'. Seems like a pretty profound course.
  18. After a meditation insight I found out that I have this deep belief that my consciousness comes from my brain and that I'm separate from everything else. How do I break this belief and experience the truth? Thanks for helping out, Max
  19. @Shin Ye.. What am I.. I keep having this question in my head. "Where was I before I was born ?". I really find this question interesting. It gives me a weird feeling when I think about it.
  20. @Leo Gura Never did self-inquiry before, I will try and start that habit aswell. You have a video on it too right? Thanks!
  21. I listen to two metal bands called: Northlane and Erra. These two bands write about spirituality, every day struggles and motivation One of Northlane's songs that I like a lot is called Aspire. The starting lyrics are: "I'll carve my own name into the earth, I'll carve my own name into the earth, Don't tell me what to think, Don't tell me how to live my life, I'll make my own decisions and I'll pay the ultimate price". You can get a sense of what it is about, I can understand if you don't like this music but I have to kill the stereotype here, that metal bands only write about negative and unconscious things. Good luck working out!
  22. I started reading self development books last year december and since english is not my main language I am quite slow on finishing books. My question to you guys is do you guys focus on one book mainly when you are reading or are you reading multiple books at the same time. Regards, Max
  23. @Paul McCarthy Thanks a lot, this made me very aware of the fact that I do rush through my books sometimes. I've already thought of an awesome way to save the information, gonna buy a notebook for each of the books and in them I will write down the most important things and how to implement it nto my life. Really cool you answered on an old topic of mine, your tip is going to help a lot
  24. Well, I have had this problem too. Legs falling asleep which was pretty uncomfortable. I switched to burmese position. Made it more comfortable with a couple pillows and I was ready for some hardcore meditation! It's a pretty easy posture, you should look into it
