  1. Does this mean that you do not, have not, or cannot, appreciate them? I ask as In my understanding as long as you have experienced (however briefly), acknowledged and fully appreciated it's usefulness , then you can transcend it. IOW you can be in harmony with a green worldview. If you cannot, then how can you hope to transcend and integrate it into a new worldview?
  2. In my opinion, what we are concerned with here is not primarily particular issues, even particular systemic issues; we are primarily concerned with seeing what is actually going on. So 'stopping' and addressing a particular issue is not the primary point, no matter how well meaning and worthwhile the issue being addressed. Once you have made some progress in addressing the primary concern you see that addressing 'lesser' concerns without addressing the primary concern will not fix the lesser concerns in any really meaningful way. This, as I see it, is a critical and essential difference between tier one and tier two vision.
  3. @EddyC Further to what Victor and Nahm have said, meditation has helped me see that 'where I am' is only a self created position, and this is the same for everyone. Hence all the 'situations' we have created in this world are of our own making; and I see that comedians are in a good position to 'point out' the ludicrousness of 'what we have been, and still are' creating. I mean why create horror and unpleasantness when it is just as easy, and much more pleasant to create enjoyment? There are endless creative possibilities here.
  4. @StardewValley You make no big leaps as there is nowhere to leap from, nor to leap to. You simply make tiny adjustments to your 'life situation' (where you think you are). Those tiny adjustments are mental adjustments that make life more pleasant. Once your mentality (or attitude) is sufficiently neutral you are ready to 'take on anything' in a 'joyful' way - as life has become that way.
  5. If you have fully realized this then you must have embodied orange for the realization to happen.
  6. IOW you are aware of what state you is in, but not aware of how you get into them. If you were very vigilant you would notice that you (awareness, clarity) become a certain state when identified with certain thoughts. IOW you lose your clarity and become limited, ie identified as some-thing, ie, a thought-construct in a thought-construct, a self in an environment (a context). IOW you are now in a state. The trick is to be aware that you are only playing a part in this make believe context, this state, this world. To always be aware that it is just a play and thus be able to play your part to the hilt. This means you can really enjoy the drama, even when your 'character' is about to have cancer surgery say. This is what is called 'having the (internal, or external) grin of the Buddha.'
  7. In my understanding Spiral dynamics is about levels of human consciousness, not personality.
  8. This is a description of 'the goal of meditation' so to speak. IOW your true nature, no-thing at all. If you start thinking about this you start creating a description of it and that is not it.
  9. Ken Wilber posits a difference between waking up and growing up. Spiral dynamics is a tool to assist with the later. Where you are in the spiral (what level of human consciousness you predominantly operate from) determines how you will interpret a 'spiritual experience'. I see it's immediate advantage is in showing that there is more than one level of human consciousness - which is what most humans have assumed to date - but this is changing.
  10. You have just noticed your true nature. It is not in space/time.
  11. Marvelous! You can't get any more mentally healthy than this. I well understood what you were saying. And no need to say anything else. What you have said says it all. Well done!
  12. Experiencing an emotion indicates that you have 'taken a position', a mental position.
  13. I would say that thought is the substance that things are made of. As humans we live in and on and as a thought construct in a thought construct.
  14. The source of thought cannot be thought about (defined) but it can be found with diligent 'tracing back' of thought. See the rough 'flow chart' I gave you up there ^^. Material is a thought, more helpfully perhaps - a form of thought.
  15. One way of looking at it: Awareness >> God >> God's thought = Manifestation >> Human >> Human thought.
  16. Are you defining a fact as one of 'God's thoughts' and an abstraction as a human thought?
  17. Could we have this on a plaque somewhere on the forum?
  18. Yes, awareness does not need belief, thus awareness does not have a perspective. Perspectives only apply in duality. Thus, in non-duality there is no I, no difference and no opposites. Perspectives only happen in thought, ie, in and via a mental construction.
  19. In the initial stages meditation is contemplation to the extent that you are focused on something. Focusing on something is easier than focusing on nothing. However once you start 'seeing' or intuiting that your essential (true) nature is nothing or more correctly no-thing, then meditation becomes just being that. The form of meditation one 'does' depends on 'where one is on the path'.
