  1. Stop identifying! Thinking is the duality.
  2. @username Don't worry they will come
  3. I think it's will not be a good depiction. There is much more going on to anyones lives than the eye can see and many people will takes a video like this as if thats everything there is. It's not wrong but I prefer to keep it in the realm of imagination since that is limitless.
  4. @Salaam I like you concept! It reminds me of the flower of life practically unfolding from it's core right? Each additional ring of circles is still part of the original but take own their own unique shape which is build from the previous form. You are saying that space-time is unfolding in all dimensions at the same time right instead of one direction at a time (dualistic motion). I do think however that the large is build from the small, even your flower petal has a non-dual begining and unfolds multi-dimensional where as each dimension is dualistically created. Your concept probably unites the idea of both non-duality and duality as a multi-dimensional enfolding process Do I make sense here? Edit: Maybe looks something like this? Each expansion of duality is actually done multi-dimensional. But the basic building block of multi-dimensional expansion still is the duality, that originates from the "source" or non-duality. The flower of life is the best example I can think of. PS: Look up vajra pendant, the symbol is seen as the nexus or beginning of reality
  5. Some people understand the concept of non-duality really well but others might find this useful to get a more visual understanding. The duality were most of us are familiar with is the concept of body and mind (physical and mental). To the left is how people normally percieve the self, body and mind feel as separate and are often in conflict with eachother. When we are born we have zero understanding of this world and are the closest to percieving the world as oneness (I). The older we become the more labels we put onto things and this grows our dualistic idea of the world. In some cases the sense of body and mind becomes so separated that the sense of self begins to fade and no connection is felt with their surroundings (III). This can become a real problem resulting in grasping onto anything often resulting in psychopathic behaviour (people who absolutely have no empathy for their surroundings). People who are actualizing themselves, create big picture understanding and have a strong sense of empathy create the feeling of a larger responsebility and when successful mind and body begin to move as one (II). This shows a decrease in ego, large sense of self in everything around them and eventually become more balanced since they know how things fit togther and are open to accept anything they can work on. Trying to attain oneness is the road to becoming one with the present moment and bringing nirvana to the present. Whereas as extreme box-thinking (black & white) will only separate you more from the world and the things around you leading to samsara.
  6. @Dodoster How did your dream end? Did your "body" really die there :D?
  7. @Whywolf I have seen it! Really like the architecture they show in the video, but is it actually a thing or just an idea?
  8. @Toby I made this one because it's simple and direct. It might not offer detailed insight but this is basically the core and anything that adds a layer of complexity makes a more obscure. Feel free to add one that explains it better
  9. If everything is me than I want to become a better totality, isn't that something worth straving for?
  10. Meditation is the cure. Like reality checks, being mindful and calm can be passed down into your subconcious mind. That's the only advice I can think of that would make sense and will help you with many things in life.
  11. Absolute non-duality is the absence of the smallest change possible. It is infinte stillness and non-existent, but the mind can start to grasp what deeper levels of stillness are by breaking down the duality of labeling. You can still experience feelings but not attach any thought to this and this comes the closest to how we can experience the slightest taste of non-duality. Regarding to dreaming, I think that by learning what deeper levels of stillness are you also get insight in how these subtle changes build your reality (dream or life) from the ground up. Training to be conciouss when entering very calm states of mind (sleeping) you begin to master to see and create a powerful solid dream or life. Anyone who is experienced in lucid dreaming knows that if you become too emotional or things change really fast, the dream gets pretty instable and can collide, eventually waking you up. Learning to carefull approach lucid states while dreaming can give you the power to create hyper realistic dreams where you can take full control of. It's about learning how small increaments of duality come together and construct larger complex frameworks.
  12. You could say that you are very aware of a lot of things. Being more and more aware gives you a greater understanding how these things interact and represent themselves. But really what is it? Is it being concious of your own thoughts and sensations and surroundings and does that mean if some senses fail? Are we really more aware than for example a blind man or someone who is deaf and what do we mean with expansion of awareness? Is this only a perspective that zooms out but still has equal amount of awareness at any state of perspective but only more specific?
  13. @eskwire Restraining was probably not the best term, but I think it can get pretty tough. You could also see it as mastering how to deal with temptations and I think it will clearly improve the ability to self-actualize more.
  14. @Old Soul I once tried to do the NoFap for 3 weeks and found much improvement in my overal mood and attraction to other people. True Celibacy is probably bad for you because your body is not build for that, but restraining from desire really empowers your motivation and some people even claim it fuels the chakras.
  15. When you live celibatic does that include restraining from all sexual desires or just sexual contact with other people?
  16. Actually you're not really one person but a collection of billions of cells, dying and regenerating every second. On average all your cells get replaced completely every 7-10 years. But yeah it's really fascinating how fast our idea of identity can change with some simple new insights
  17. Follow what you want to pursuit, thats the only way to be genuine with yourself. It looks like you have been wearing a mask and follow the things people say that will lead to a succesful life but this is probably not your way. Anxiety is created when you feel insecure about what you are doing and are not fully behind it. You can try to cope with your emotions and cary on forcing things or follow what you believe will make you more fullfilled. If it turns out to be something else you thought of then thats no problem, it's a continious path of self-discovery. You are not alone there are many people who feel like this. Taking steps toward what you want makes you more comfortable in any situation.
  18. I'm trying to make a scheme that shows how these concepts arise from eachother. This is what I got until now so if you have something to add or just want to leave a comment than please go ahead.
  19. It would be nice if we would have some kind of knowledge tree with the "most" fundamental videos grouped together and more specific ones that might apply to those in extra categories? Maybe you can watch the most watched ones since they probably are shared most and might have the best impact?
  20. @Scholar They also do that in Kundalini Yoga if i'm correct. I don't know if it does anything specific, but it looks like it represents uniting the two sides and going from the lower chakras to the crown "where you release the energy". Brining the hands together closes the movement and is the starting of your meditation. That's how I see it
  21. When the two bubbles meet a new reality is created in the form of life, that's why love could be seen as infinite, it streches across an entire reality
  22. @Razvan That's true but you are a human after all and have to live a life with an ego. The hearth is probably the best guide and closer to our being than our mind.
