Read one of the letters from Paul. How about the Romans? I also suggest to start reading the gospel. The old testament can be more heavy to read in my opinion.

He is saved but don't know how to acknowledge God in the right way. He will realize Jesus is the truth one day. I used to do all sort of practices before God woke me up.
