  1. My intuition tells me that if it has been done for thousands of years, it must work. You may not always get reliable information, but it's better than having nothing.
  2. Putin has a point, and that is that he’s exposing Europe’s weaknesses, and one of them is that it’s hugely atomized, especially in the east. It is an aberration that countries were created just because of small linguistic differences and variations in cooking techniques. Countries should be tools to improve people’s lives, by uniting forces, eliminating barriers and duplicities. Not to hold onto nationalist dreams when many of these nationalisms were created by small elites in the 19th century. I’m not saying we should homogenize cultures, but in the fundamentals we should be united and not have 27 armies. I believe we should merge countries or at least create confederal unions. Having small kingdoms is like going back to the Middle Ages. The countries I’m proposing should be based on fucking clear natural barriers like high mountain ranges, big rivers, narrow sea passages, islands... Nature has created big geographical divisions out there, it's not difficult to identify them. Putin, in his twisted way, is trying to recreate the ancient universalism of the Persian Empire. His methods are cruel and he is a mass murderer, but deep down he has a noble motivation. I’m sure many people would oppose my proposal simply because they wouldn’t see their country on a map anymore, or they wouldn’t be able to cheer for their national football team every 4 years in the Euros. Those are petty concerns getting in the way of creating something better. Let me know what you think, I’d especially like to hear the opinion of my fellow Europeans citizens, but also everyone else of course.
  3. I’ve listened to it in its entirety, and it has shaken some of my convictions. Thank you for sharing, I didn't know this guy and he seems a reliable source.
  4. Leo has lifted many of us out of spiritual misery. I'm glad you made it, the world is a better place. His no-nonsense approach appeals to many of us with a high level of masculinity.
  5. Totally agree. What I propose I know it's not a realistic goal within my lifespan, but I believe we should aim in that direction. Something that is feasible, however, is fostering a greater sense of unity within the EU. An executive power with real capacity to command defense, economy and strategic plans is needed.
  6. You don't necessarily need to create a country to protect a culture. With responsible politicians who respect regional sensitivities it’s possible. I know this well because I live in a country where different identities are preserved.
  7. America has a culture. Denying it just gives ammunition to these bigots.
  8. Ethnolinguistic nations could be provinces within each state. For example, Catalonia, Portugal, Basque Country, etc., inside the great Iberia state. Canary Island, and all the overseas territories I would of course sell the land to the nearest country and repatriate our citizens to the metropolis. Each state should have 40-60 million people
  9. Exactly! The expenses would be reduced so much that there would be a surplus for universal basic uncome. The majority of the population could pursue their life purpose or have more free time to do what they want, add automation to this, and I see it as a very achievable goal. The challenge, I believe, would be staying vigilant against centralizing power that could homogenize cultures. We must unite on essentials (defense, economy, foreign policy, administration) while respecting regional differences.
  10. Let go of baggage, focus on one activity (maximum 2). Contemplate stage orange bullshit more and how it will never satisfy you. For me, the best way to reset it's a long walk in nature.
  11. I hope we can achieve it without much suffering.
  12. I'm not saying it's wrong to work at a coffee shop. What I think is a mistake is dropping out of school. I would make sure to get a degree, then learn a stable profession that you know will pay the bills or that you can fall back on if something goes wrong. Once you do that, work hard to monetize your passion. I know what I'm saying sounds very normie, but I think it's the best for most people.
  13. That's why it's better not to lend money to anyone. And if you do consider you won't get it back. For ₹11,000 INR, you have the chance to learn this lesson. I saw online that it converts to 125 dolars, which is a small amount. Some people lost thousands of dolars to learn this lesson.
  14. I hope the average conservative voter sees the danger Trump is in this term, without things getting too messed up.
  15. Don't be too transparent in the interview. I'm not saying you should lie, but learn to cover up your flaws.
  16. It seems like a mistake to me, but I don't know your situation in detail, so I admit that I could be wrong.
  17. Perhaps the time has finally come for the first time in history when there are no hegemonic powers, but rather regional powers that focusing on cooperation.
  18. The more time passes, the more grotesque Trump and his supporters seem to me. I don't know if it's me maturing or if the far right is degenerating more and more. And I will tell you more, the older I get, the more I realize how important it is to avoid associating with that kind of people. But I have to admit that the left, although to a lesser extent, also has its own legions of fanatics driven by emotions.
  19. I think the geography of the American continent is worse due to the fact that it was completely isolated from the rest of the world for thousands of years. This topic is very interesting. I will watch the documentary carefully.
  20. My opinion is that the West is quite selfish and deluded (especially stage orange delusion), but still nowadays the West is the best place to live in all of history. Moreover, I add that this level of wealth and well-being has been achieved without enslaving the rest of the world. Precisely Europe and the United States have progressed more when they have desisted from imperialism and colonialism. There are deeper reasons beyond Western blame for poverty - like geography and historical context. Pinning everything on the West would actually give it more credit than it deserves. It's more complex than that simple narrative.
  21. I agree U.S. cultural dominance has an impact, but I think the main reason the West is permissive with the U.S. is that out of all the major world powers, the U.S. provides one of the best standards of living for its people, and a level of freedom light years away from, for example, China or Russia.
  22. I eat a lot of meat, but I hate it and find it tiresome when I hear the typical jokes about vegans. They are not hurting anyone
