dr dean and his team design and perform rigorous experiments to test thought transference and the effects of human awareness on the "material world" and the results have strong statistical significance (p-values very close to zero).
 -
@kieranperez amazing stuff. thanks for elaborating
 -
i don't know if you understand statistical hypothesis testing, but when he says "odds against chance" he's talking about statistical significance.

true self-discipline is freedom. frustration due to lack of self-discipline is a cyclic prison. -

mankind, in general, struggles with this. people confuse god (existence itself) with goodness (a human value). goodness and evil are within god. realizing god is one thing. aligning oneself with goodness is WAY HARDER. -

i'm here to suggest the very opposite. simply BE. -
@Aquarius you're still incapable of spreading unconditional love. actually, you sound needy and desperate. lying to yourself will hinder the process.

if akashic records had any concrete evidence, it would be part of mainstream culture. there is some serious research being done about "mysticism" though: -

make an experiment to prove it's not... there isn't any out there. as far as i know, it's just fantasy that we'd like to be true. -

practical knowledge is not useless. useful theoretical knowledge comes from verifiable/reproducible/public experiments, not from individual/subjective experiences. -

because it has nothing to do with living a good life. all siddhis are ultimately useless. the highest miracle of life is already happening as you breathe. -

@Tistepiste sorry but this is unsolvable. imo, it's also useless. -
	@Charlotte related, but better:

That is a bannable offense. hm, not watching leo's content and being honest about it is a bannable offense. interesting!
 -
@Max_V well, i haven't watched a single video from leo in more than 1 year i think. seek your happiness. this is the ultimate goal... never forget about it. you don't need to fit any external standard. you're completely free every second. can you realize that?

i love my work. i don't have compassion for it. -
@Ampresus tell your parents that you feel lonely and sad. dont say that it's their fault. just be sincere about your feelings. if you learn how to be sincere about your feelings, you'll probably ace every single personal relationship in your entire life.

@Matteo you got lucky. you were triggered and now you're aware of things that you need to work on. unfortunately, there's no easy fix. fortunately, it's going to be a long dive into wisdom, detachment and growth we're very familiar with the world of senses and actions and highly unfamiliar with the world of feelings and thoughts. have you started meditating yet? if you're uncomfortable to explicit some details here, feel free to send me a pm.

now this is legitimately an interesting question. there is no proof. it depends on your personal experience. in my experience, when i deeply connect with someone else through eye contact deep listenning, it does feel like there's someone like myself in front of me. i used to think like you before i was able to have such experiences. -

@luckieluuke quantum computers are machines that can count in a different way, but they're still counting machine (that's where the word 'computer' comes from). and we're still struggling with the engineering part in order to make sense of the quantum mechanics. i'll rephrase what i just said: we are trying to manipulate quantum mechanics to create a better counting machine. ok, let's make it easier. i didn't write that print instruction for no reason. what would be the proof that an AI system 'attained' (i don't even know a good verb to use here) consciousness? -

print('I am aware that I am aware.') you just lack fundamental knowledge about how computers work. computers are extensions of the turing machine, which is a rudimentary programmable calculator. everything a computer does has to obey a certain set of strict and inflexible rules. programming an AI system is a funny thing because we try to teach an inflexible machine to be flexible. even the most flexible abstractions of rule sets have to go through a training phase to mimic a certain behavior. -
in a cult, the leader is praised and the followers make their minds up to believe that the leader is always behaving properly and speaking the truth. this is quite the opposite with leo. he's a highly thoughtful/logical person and i think he's a little too smart for his own good, given the fact that he's a seeker of enlightenment. it's very clear to me that he's learning with us. in other words, we're all learning together.

@Emanyalpsid dude, hinduism has several dieties and buddhism (as taught by siddhartha himself) abominates such unverifiable concepts. in hinduism you pray for ganesh to achieve things. in buddhism you let go of desires and study the nature of cravings instead. i'm sorry for bringing this subject into this thread, but leo closed your thread to avoid mental masturbation, which is a huge distraction for lots of people.
