  1. what does it mean? also, check this out
  2. @Alex14 ask her how she thinks that you're going to become a grown up man and learn how to take care of your own life.
  3. @NoSelfSelf i didn't say it's just about solving problems. it's about getting better at solving problems. doing it more efficiently.
  4. development is about getting better at solving problems
  5. @Preetom you're projecting personal/relative experiences onto the absolute perspective, as if there was a higher purpose for every individual aspect of Reality. the attachment to a God kind of entity is deeper than we may think.
  6. this is my law of attraction: HARD WORK
  7. you certainly have no idea what you're saying. human beings become capable of taking higher and higher responsibilities as they grow and mature. a harmonious, peaceful, joyful and constructive marriage is for highly developed human beings, only.
  8. if it had popped 1 second later, would you still ask yourself "why didn't it pop one second earlier?" so, your question is equivalent to the following one: "why are things the way they are?" and then you can go all the way through the rabbit hole and find nothing but a shitload of dogmas. sorry, you can't break down Truth as the mind desires. the present moment is an unsolvable mystery. behold! existence is an infinite source of awe!
  9. that's just a thought. you validate it as true because you're stubborn, fighting against your own mental health. wake up! Truth has NOTHING to do with what you think.
  10. bs dogma. as far as i feel, i can close and open my fist. "oh but did you really choose to do that?" - what a waste of time. the free will / no free will paradox is an endless pool of mental masturbation.
  11. being able to judge is essential. instead of being in conflict with your freedom to judge, i'd recommend that you examine the nature of judging and learn how to judge more precisely in order to live a better life.
  12. we feel as if were free, thus we're free. that's all i have to say. gonna go back to hardwork.
  13. yes i have. you have to channel that creative energy with wisdom. it's difficult for you because human culture in general is trash right now. but you can use that energy to perform asanas (hatha yoga), for instance. a very wise yoga teacher once told me that it's possible to use the sexual energy to heal the cells of your body.
  14. good questions. you can't trust an untrained mind. but you can trust a trained, focused, steady and disciplined mind.
  15. yes. as i said in the beginning of this thread, it's possible to program an AI with machine learning that devours non-duality texts and outputs enlightenment gibberish on point.
  16. dr dean and his team design and perform rigorous experiments to test thought transference and the effects of human awareness on the "material world" and the results have strong statistical significance (p-values very close to zero).
  17. @kieranperez amazing stuff. thanks for elaborating
  18. @ivankiss even if you could feel experiences (like thoughts) if time stopped, light still wouldn't be able to reach your eyes and nor would sound. it would be completely dark and silent. what we usually think of time stopping is just fantasy.
  19. yes it's normal because you're not actually becoming free from past and future yet. you're just inserting a new thought into your mental pattern that's conflicting with your old/current pattern. you gotta get out of the mind games altogether. once you experience complete emptiness of mind you'll understand. all you need is a glimpse to really know what you're going after.
  20. i don't know if you understand statistical hypothesis testing, but when he says "odds against chance" he's talking about statistical significance.
  21. true self-discipline is freedom. frustration due to lack of self-discipline is a cyclic prison.
  22. you can transition into smoothness/gracefulness slowly. but the mind is a big and complex thing thus it cannot be changed without turbulence.
  23. mankind, in general, struggles with this. people confuse god (existence itself) with goodness (a human value). goodness and evil are within god. realizing god is one thing. aligning oneself with goodness is WAY HARDER.
  24. @ivankiss be patient. mastery takes decades of practice. you're just beginning. to be more precise, we're beginning in every instant.
