  1. The book is excellent, should be on Leo's booklist, I don't know if he has read it. It's a paradigm adding book.
  2. I don't think nuclear weapons are any pressing threat at all. Infact, nuclear weapons are what has kept peace around the world for almost a century now. Global warming is an issue, but it is not more pressing than social media because social media is what directly hinders us from doing something about global warming (look at the fact that Trump was elected for example). Pressing means that they need to be solved as quickly as possible, and because social media makes it more and more difficult to have any coherent progessive action within a democracy it is by far the most important issue we can currently address.
  3. Can you love the Rancor Leo? Think about how mistreated he was, enslaved and kept in a small enviroment for his entire life. He was starving to death and was just trying to survive, yet Luke showed no compassion and murdered him at the first chance he got.
  4. I am not sure why you are quoting me I was agreeing with you.
  5. This is why the Stage Orange paradigm simply isn't enough. The problems are too complex to be solved via a simple analysis akin to finding fault only in direct harm. Our civilizations, whether it is climate change or these social issues, faces these problems precisely because we do not look at the wider consequences of our actions. We are too myopic in the way we issue blame and fault to others. Reality doesn't care whether Zuckerberg is at fault or not. Reality does not care about whether he is being evil. Reality simply shows you what is. Social media is causing huge harm to society, and it will continue to do so until we adopt further responsibility. It's not enough to not cause obvious evil, our modern society is so complex that we must take responsibility for the unintentional harm we are causing by our way of survival. You can blame a person for anything, including selling Harry Potter shirts. It all depends on how wide your circle of compassion is.
  6. Interesting that you agree on that with the Trump supporters, should make you think.
  7. But why would Murdoch call AZ if he wasn't absolutely certain it was a win for Biden? It's not like these decisions are made on intuition, there is clear data backing it all up, no? Isn't it the same situation as back with Obama when Ohio was called?
  8. I don't understand, isn't Biden expected to win NEV anyways? PA and GA are just extra, no?
  9. Blame social media, the same is happening here in europe.
  10. Even Pence has enough brains to realize this which is why he backpeddled right after Trump gave his speech.
  11. Mail-in ballots are unsafe therefore Biden has an advantage? Because Trump is an angel and wouldn't abuse his power as the sitting president to take advantage of this unsafeties.
  12. Conservatives undermining democracy by claiming voter fraud. Love how these people have no principles at all.
  13. Would be funny to test what would happen if there was a "Badge of Consciousness" in this forum to distinguish low consciousness people from higher consciousness ones. I feel like the quality of the members of this forum the past two years or so have degraded significantly.
  14. Hearing that it's looking much better for Trump at the moment than the polls projected, much like last election.

  16. I heard someone say that Rep Voters don't vote by mail so they are lagging behind giving an appearing of Dems winning, but I have no idea if that's a thing or if it's relevant. How long do you guys think will it take for the announcement to happen?
  17. Some simple points many people here seem to have difficulty grasping. Even the commentators in the video seem to have a better grasp of this than some people in here who claim to meditate and do self-inquiry work. Quote: I have tried to point this out to many people in here, who are doing that very same thing. This is vital to get a grasp on even outside of the topic that is being discussed in the video. As conscious individuals we must develope a good sense of when we are being biased. This is why such a challenging topic is so excellent to demonstrate this phenomenon. Sometimes we need to go back to the lower stages and learn that which we have skipped to learn, so that our development can be well-rounded. For the vast majority of people in here the greatest oppurtunity for growth is to learn to integrate the lower stages, rather than looking at ideals that can only be achieved when these "lower-level aspects" have been integrated in the first place.
  18. Extending your compassion to those beings you are consuming will be a far greater reward than any pleasure or convinience you could experience.
  19. There is an interesting dynamic that I think might not be as obvious at first glance. If there is a certain geopolitical order in the world, a natural tendency of each nation-state to fall into a certain place of the hierarchy of power, any aberration away from that natural order would require force to sustain itself. In other words, it requires an outside force to shape a river beyond it's natural tendency of flowing where there is least resistance. If we assume that China is in a unique geopolitical position which actually deems it, in the context of least resistance, to be the hegemony of the world, what does this mean for any other nation-state that seeks to uphold it's current hegemony on the world stage? It means that the country must interfer in the natural power-structures, and war is the natural consequence of such interferences. For the US to maintain it's position at the top, it must continiously undermine the natural order, the natural harmony that would reveal itself if non-interference were to be a reality. China has been the center of the world for thousands of years, europe was meaningless. As we speak that historic order is being restored and it seems like the US will not be able to maintain it's dominance in the world without severe conflict. See, if nature deem it so that you are not at the top of the foodchain, it will require you to resist nature. This will lead to suffering. Mankind as a whole can be viewed to be in this stage of development. In our attempt to free ourselves from the natural order, we have subjugated nature. The suffering it takes to maintain our position in nature far exceeds any suffering we ourselves would have experienced if we had maintained the natural order. China is the center of the world, whether you like it or not. They are the majority, so it is a priority that they start to progress. If they become the hegemony, they will develope. They will rise in consciousness. We can have all the progress in the west, it is meaningless to what it would mean for China and India to progress. And China and India will progress, and we might be able to aid them if we are willing to give in to the natural order. It seems to me that it could very wellbe that we are currently the hinderance to the progress of mankind, not them.
  20. Precisely, which is why being clearly able to identify this kind of bias is so central to consciousness work.
  21. If Trump wins I will view that as an official failure of the american democracy. It will become very difficult to avoid eco-fascistic tendencies in the future if we do not radically change as soon as possible. Meanwhile, China can just decide they are going carbon neutral. No need for elections, no need for hoping that the people vote someone into office who isn't a complete lunatic. And no schizophrenic change in direction with every new election. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-54256826
  22. The true issue here is not Alex Jones, but someone like Joe Rogan who legitimizes him. Joe Rogan does not take responsibility for his platform at all, he is stuck in stage orange so he is unwilling to recognize the tremendous negative effect he has on the world and the people when he has clowns on who he doesn't challenge at all basically. Joe Rogan would be the type who would have had Adolf Hitler on to have a fun time with him.
