  1. What both sides? I am talking to you guys, you are behaving like children. Give me a break, you don't know shit about rockets, you don't know shit about the damage done to the hospital or how it would look like. You're a literal keyboard warrior, calm down and get off twitter.
  2. You guys are literally reaching idiocracy levels of stupidity.
  3. Here are videos showcasing (supposedly) that Hamas was responsible for the attack on the hospital: https://www.reddit.com/r/2ndYomKippurWar/comments/17a7xpr/jihad_missile_hitting_gaza_hospital_2nd_view/ https://www.reddit.com/r/2ndYomKippurWar/comments/17a7fy3/evidence_reveals_shocking_twist_hamas/ Now, to be clear, I have no idea if this is true, but the fact that you guys are so quick to jump to conclusions should tell you that you are infected with twitteritis. For all you know, Hamas just bombed their own hospital and you are calling warcrime by Israel.
  4. That's becaue you are operating from a moralistic framework, which I am not. I don't even remember when I wrote the last normative statement in this thread.
  5. I can't help you guys, you need to start using your own brain and look beyond this narrow bias that you have created for yourself. It's too much effort for me. I blame Leo for not having uploaded a new video for so long, people are going mental.
  6. I am not even engaging in the juvenile blaming game that you are engaging in. You would be able to see that if your mind was not so completely caputred by moralization and outrage.
  7. I wish your could realized how ironic this question is. You are so completely and utterly stuck in outrage-mode that you literally cannot grasp what I am saying.
  8. This isn't about whether or not you can get behind this issue. If you want to have any hope in affecting the world in a positive way so that the chances of this happening again are reduced by even a miniscule amount, you need to take your moral outrage, put it aside, and try to truly understand this conflict from all sides. Learning about this conflict should expand your understanding of human nature, not lead to you screeching how unfair and evil people are. This won't solve anything.
  9. Yes, and this is going to be horrible too. What did you expect to happen from this?
  10. They acted as expected given their developmental stage. Like I said, moralization in the way you engage with to me just leads to further delusion and an inability to actually see what is going on and why. You are more interested in a blaming game than learning about reality and humanity. Again, Russia was not attacked in the way Israel as attacked. The cutting down of electricity and water was heavily criticized, Joe Biden in fact was able to convince Israel to continue to flow of water. He did so without inflaming the Israelis and making the situation worse than it already is. As long as people like you will not accept the reality of the Israeli state, war will continue. And your historic analysis is incredibly superficial. Palestine was no state, it was land administered by the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire lost the war, and Britian divided the land in the way it thought appropriate. Israel was created and attacked by arab nations, and it defended itself successfully. If Israel has not achieved legitimacy as a state, I don't know what state on this planet has. By your logic the africans should indefinitely kill each other over land because at some point someone divided it up that way. At some point you must respect the existence of a state. History doesn't just start and end where you please.
  11. You are naive if you think the Israel-Palestine conflict is as simple as Israel just being evil and oppressive.
  12. Israel is acting just like the US was after 9/11. This is a very one-sided view of the issue. The cause of the conflict is found on both sides. One of the reasons why others forms of Apartheid and racial segregation in the past were able to be resolved was, because the people who were oppressed did not have it as their goal the destruction of the state in which they existed. In Apartheid South Africa, the oppressed black people did not want to destroy South Africa, but merely want the same equal rights as the white class. This is different from this conflict, because the arabs wanted to destroy Israel since the very beginning, and still want to do so. Of course, not every palestinian wants to destroy Israel, but a large enough portion does so as to make this issue impossible to be resolved if both sides do not align their perspective with a greater will for peace. Nothing on this scale and brutality. Ukrainians did not have the destruction of the Russian state as their official goal. This is just a one sided view. While the Israeli's are mistreating and violating human rights, they are not the sole cause of this conflict. The historical context is such that both sides are at fault for being unable to establish proper peace. But none of this matters in the context of the act that was committed. Hamas went over the line, and a nation state will respond. The reason why the Israeli's kill more palestinians is not on a lack of effort of Hamas, but simply technological superiority on the side of the Israeli's. Usually, the deaths caused by Israel are in retaliation to attacks from Hamas. You cannot simply compare numbers and then point at how the bad guy is, that's not how this works. You can blame Netanyahu's regime for much of what is happening, but that doesn't change the reality of how a nation state will respond inevitably given the circumstances. Look, I can't argue with 4 people. You guys need to get off twitter and read some objective analysis of this issue. You are incapable of anything but showcasing your moral outrage, which will not achieve anything.
  13. If Ukrainians had massacred over a thousand russian civilians in a senseless act of terrorism designed to provoke a war, I don't think anyone would be condemning Russia in the way they currently are, even if there was a history of oppression in Ukraine.
  14. The real reason why people are so angry is because they are being manipulated by social media algorithms. Israel is not acting any different from how the US or any other country would act and has acted in the past. Hatred begets hatred.
  15. The UN number is highly undercounted because it does not count most of the deaths which occured on currently occupied territory, which is where the vast majority of civilian deaths would have occured. Israel is getting supported because it is in retaliation, it is not unprovoked. I don't see people in here defending war crimes.
  16. It is not necessarily a war crime, and if Ukrainians built military installations in hospitals, the Russians could be bombing a hospital with civilians in it and it not being considered a warcrime: https://genevasolutions.news/peace-humanitarian/ukraine-is-targeting-hospitals-always-a-war-crime
  17. I am not compelled of that narrative. The russians flattened entire cities, causing possibly over 25.000 civilian deaths in the siege of Mariupol alone, and much of it was simply for military reasons. Again, if the Ukrainians did to Russia what Hamas did to Israel, I would expect Russia to nuke Kiev.
  18. I don't see much of an issue with this statement if it is referring to Hamas. People are quote mining a lot, so you have to be mindful of the context around which statements are made. I saw a few of these misleading, and you guys should really not be taking anything Jackson Hinkle says seriously. He is a complete nutjob and misinformation machine. That said, there are definitely remarks and generalizations about palestinians that were unacceptable within the Israeli community, which is to be expected.
  19. You can say that they have a moral obligation to risk their soldiers life's and accept heavy casualities to spare the civilians who live there. But keep in mind you are asking for something that is beyond what any comparable nationstate would actually do and consider reasonable.
  20. Watch this: Hamas built a huge network of tunnels underneath all of Gaza. There is no just going in and neutralizing the enemy. Ground invasions also tend to have more civilian casualties than bombardments from what I have read. It's not all of Gaza, but it certainly will take a great toll. Any nation state would act the way Israel currently is in response to what happened.
  21. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/10/what-hamas-wants-israel/675648/ Good article.
  22. Some more insane footage floating around but I won't be posting that here.
  23. Well, the Europeans went a little too far with their immigration policies so some backlash would do them good. He has bee at large for 6 hours now?
  24. Apparent ISIS terrorist on killing spree swedish people in brussels. Possibly motivated by Quoran burnings and call for global Jihad. This looks like a complete failure of the police to me.
  25. I am well aware of the other side of the story.
