  2. @Shaun I would aim for at least someone Green, who loves nature, healthy eater, cares for their body, simple lifestyle/not too materialistic, and who also keeps their mind open and is curious to learn. None of us were born highly developed and awakened, we too had to start somewhere. You can introduce them to spirituality and see where it goes. It's cool to be with someone who shares similar values. Those people are few but out there, you just have to look.
  3. Has nothing to do with you. What you did was an proper thing to do. What she did was immature behavior. Even if she decided not to continue seeing you, a mature person would communicate that in a honest open manner. Hope you learn from this mistake. You acted like a toddler who just lost his lolly pop. Not attractive. Work on learning to control your emotions. Start meditating. What you're experiencing is loss. Loss because you got too attached. Attached not to the real person, though, but idealized version of her. She's already showed you to be flaky and inconsiderate. Do I need to say more? Reality check - it's not about rejection, it's about selection. Means - she is not the girl for you. Move on and practice abundance mentality. It's not love, it's infatuation. There is a big difference. Learn what the difference is and how the cocktail of feel-good brain chemicals makes you imagine things that are not even there. We literally fall into insanity under its influence. Don't trust it. You like the idea of her and are clinging to the potential. It's not reality, you're creating your own psychosis. Don't contact her till she contacts you first, if ever. If you don't want to completely lose her respect. She is not worth your waiting. You want a healthy, happy, honest, mutually respectful relationship. Obviously this girl can't give it to you. Too many strikes against her already. Cut the losses and move on. Don't waste any more time on a dead end situationship. Hugs
  4. @Sleyker Yes, I would talk to her. But only after making sure her new beau is not a psycho and won't come for you if found out. Marital affairs are usually fleeting, yet can cause damage to the bond with a spouse. Also, do you know if your mom and step-dad didn't agree to an open relationship, that you may not be aware of?
  5. Guys, give him a break. He's trying and on the right track.
  6. Yeah, Rupert patented that metaphor
  7. I love this man, one of my fave non-dual teachers. Long time subscriber to his YT channel too.
  8. Maybe you should... only in the Health sub-forum. So we can tell you how unhealthy that stuff is
  9. @Wyatt If you don't find a good set of questions, I would develop my own set to help gauge their level of development. Do you want them to have a good meditation habit? Then a question like 'What is your morning/evening routine like?' would be a good one. If they say, 'Coffee, rushing with kids, stopping by McDonald's to grab fast food', etc would be very telling about their level of unconsciousness. If they say, for example, "I start out my morning with breathing exercises/20 mins of meditation/green smoothie", etc, you'd know their focus from the beginning of the day will be good, and sharp. Do you want them to be mindful? Ask questions that would give them a chance to point at their level of mindfulness or a lack of it thereof. These questions can be indirect (like the morning routine one) or direct, like 'What is your opinion on recycling?' for example. But of course, not knowing the type of business you have, it would be hard to give you more question suggestions. But these are just some ideas for you.
  10. The priest dude looked kind of old, pale, weak, and sickly already. Probably just had a heart attack. And yes instant God-realization.
  11. Will check it out, thanks for the link Good to know
  12. @Conrad Locking this. Reckless behavior will not be tolerated.
  13. @abrakamowse Poppy seeds are yummy, just don't eat them before you go for a drug test. Are those the shrooms people on the forum talk about all the time that they use them for consciousness work?
  14. @Conrad Something that never existed can't die. 'Death' is simply the end of the illusion that there was someone.
  15. @abrakamowse Imagine if Sadhguru read this thread
  16. @bejapuskas Dead serious. Poppy seeds come from opium poppy, a plant that produces a milky fluid from which morphine and other opiates are derived. It takes days for the body to get rid of it. And if you eat anything with poppy seeds, like a bagel for example, and then go for a drug test, it will come back positive and you won't get a job you're doing the test for.
  17. Poppy seeds are ok in the States, but don't eat anything with them before taking a drug test - it could give you a positive result
