There are animals who have attachments, like a lot of mammals so they probably have some sense of duality.but I haven't seen an animal suffering and creating suffering to its fellow animals in the extent that humans do. Ego as a mechanism plays an important role in this.i like how aristotle put it:humans can be the most catastrophic creatures in nature because they have weapons(mind) that when not controlled properly can lead to extremes. Have you seen an animal in nature being so hedonistic about sex and food?

Why not maintain the illusion, I like life,I like girlfriend, I like mom, after all of this consciousness work I can't see any bad in the world, there's a lot of peace in life, suffering levels are very very low but I start to see that enlightenement will end all of this... Why destroy it and not enjoy it while I have it. After all death will come some time soon, why chase it then?

There is nothing for you to enlightenement. Go for enlightenement if you do not have anything else to do, go for enlightenement if you are willing to give up your life. You will do eventually so don't bother.you can't know what is on the other side, you will never know.go for enlightenement only if you can't live with lies anymore. If you get to deep you can't get out so leave before its too late,you will have no choice then but to keep on waking up. Enlightenement is nothing, it will give you exactly that. Enjoy the illusion but you will get there eventually. YOU CAN'T ESCAPE IT, WHERE CAN REALITY RUN TO FROM ITS SELF
