  1. For a newbie, all these talk are so hard to comprehend ! I mean, enlightenment is actually a very simple thing, but to explain it to a newbie, we have to use so many metaphors and analogies that it feels like we are talking to an alien race
  2. All the non-duality experience comes from you doing nothing else than just being. Like this afternoon after a long walk, at the end of it I had no thoughts at all, and for a second I could feel that I was nothing, and everything at the same time (yes it is very weird ^^). It is that simple, there is nothing to do, and the more you can create these moments, the more you will learn to live without the ego and follow your intuitions. This video of Leo is very important to assimilate in order to create these kinds of moments, that and trying to be mindfull all the time (feel your body, it will force you to be present):
  3. You don't really want to ignore about enlightenment, you just know unconsciously that the only way to realized your enligthement is to stop the search, because there is nothing to search. Almost every story about people getting enlightened was to stop the search and live through life as a sage. That or a life and death of the ego situation (like Eckhart Tolle). You're all good, as long as you continue to better yourself spiritually, mentally and physically.
  4. It will come over time as we continue to live in the present, as we meditate to ease our mind to be even more present, as we comptemplate nature to feel our link to it, as we start to feel more and more compassion towards other beings. Actualized.org, Tolleteachings, com and probably several others popular websites on the internet, are the proof that we want to realize our true nature, and that the 21st century, with the birth of internet, will be the era of consciousness. Before this millenium, our species wasn't ready to be realized its true self. Now we have all the tools, all the teachers, all the sages histories to learn from. For those who really are on the path, it is only a matter of time from now on.
  5. Why, and on what subject ? Seriously, ask yourself that, honestly. If you don't have a strong emotion by hearing the answer, don't listen to the voice inside your head, because it is lying (then ask the question again). The thing you learn at the university, are you passionate about them ? Do you meditate ?
  6. “Love is not an emotion, it’s your very existence" Jalaluddin Rumi
  7. If you can laugh about it, you're on the right track.
  8. When you ask yourself who or what you really are daily, When you intuitively know there is something more to you than flesh and thoughts, When you go take more and more walk into forest/plain/mountain to contemplate nature, When you try to see people/animals and plants for something else that what you think they are, When you start to be humble, not to be humble, but because you know your ideas and strenghts does not come from you (your ego), This is when you will feel the switch has been pressed.
  9. You're talking to me across a window, just 200 years from now, nobody has even had a thought about it. It doesn't matter how crazy it sounds, the very moment you deny the possibility of something to happen, you're closing your mind to the truth. There is no opinion to have, I'm not saying we will walk through walls, I'm saying that I dont know and that I'm open to the possibility, that's all. This is the core problem of some spiritual seekers, they still have beliefs, firm belief of how reality works, and that's the very reason these people will be stuck at some point. Don't think because some enlightened people tell you something that it is necessary true, being enligtened doesn't mean you have access to all the experience, therefore to all the wisdom, it just mean you see reality from an another perspective.
  10. For the newbies, don't forget to switch the main question if it doesn't click. For me personnally, "what I am" works better than "who I am".
  11. How do you know ? Maybe there is states of consciousness that feels responsible for everything that ever happened, maybe the stage of consciousness that the sages had were only a fraction of what the human species is capable of ... How could there be a limit ? Why would a limit even exist ? Yes, right now we have temporary physical limitations, or to be more true, we think that we have temporary physical limitations, which again, limits our perceptions. Rali says that you can't move though a wall, as obvious as it seems, I will never believe that you can't, because that is a limiting belief. "The belief of a limit, is the limit itself" ...
  12. Just remembered this blog, kind of interesting to read http://www.wakingtimes.com/2014/11/14/god-true-teachings-jesus/
  13. One of the most powerful habit I had, and that I'm trying to take it back, is to listen to Epic Music 1 to 2 times a week. Not only it will make you think about deep subjects, but it will also fuel you to do the shit you have to do in order to grow. It is helping me to grow the balls to start taking a Self-Inquiry meditation. I've always been scared of it, I realize it now, I tried to mask it by thinking I had to to things in order, starting slow, and in a sense it was required, but deep down I know it was a lie, that I had to tame the ego first to let it accept the idea of killing it. I'm still scared, but It is also a deep attraction melted with excitation, like a girl who's really in love with you but take his time to make you understand that she's awesome, and I'm now at the evening of the first date ^^
  14. The right thing to do is the most emotionally difficult one.
  15. Hi everyone, For some months now, I have this theory of infinity in my mind, it really could rationally explain why God (we) is (are) pure love. Sure, you don't need to rationalize it to feel it, but I have time to kill and dream these days. Feel free to report the post if the same theory has been discussed before, I won't mind. So, what if every quark was an universe in itself, and every universe was a quark, and every one of them has an infinite number of alternate and parallel sisters and brothers ? I'm talking in both directions of course (our universe is a quark, and our quarks are universes). Very open minded people doesn't need theories to believe in something, but I guess, when science will evolve so much that we will be able to prove some of these theories, it will be the end of dogma (like in 50-10 000 years ^^). PS: I used the name quark, but the name doesn't really matter, we all know we'll find something smaller (and it might even go small an infinite number of times).
  16. Maybe it worked for you this way, but everyone is different, because everyone has a another web of beliefs, And most people, aren't open-minded at all, they need to see the light bit by bit to start to believe in it. Even the most open-minded people rarely go into spiritual stuff, they like to talk about it, but they don't do any practical stuff at all.
  17. If he laughs, doesn't apologize or/and try to understand your point of view, he's not your friend.
  18. Well, this is a tricky situation, because a girlfriend/boyfriend can really make your life better, and it can take a while untill you realize that the relationship isn't fulfilling you.
  19. This is a step by step process, you can't help these kind of people by telling them such abstract concepts as "there is no you". There are people on this forum who really needs to realize that the way you see the world is so different than regular people, That they can't even understand 5% of what you're talking about, let alone understand it. Put yourself at their place, how did you think back then, what was your struggles, and if you never were at their place (or at least in somewhat similar situations), don't answer just for the sake of answering unless you have a very precise and easy knowledge to share. These people needs practical advices, you're just confusing them even more that what they are. EDIT: Sorry for the english I'm tired.
  20. Read "Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion" from Robert Cialdini, it will help to detect the people you should avoid.
  21. "The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them." Burowski
  22. You can expect to fail many times during the first few months, don't blame yourself for it and just keep doing it until it becomes totally natural.
  23. Jerk off when you wake up, and again just before the interview.
