When you can't judge anymore -
You're judging because you need to separate yourself from others. If you judge other people, that automatically implies you do it to yourself too. It's not like you could decide to stop like that, but what you can do is watching your thoughts when you judge, and try to understand why you really judge. You'll find out that it's not because other people do things wrongs, but what you believe they should do. This is all in your head, even the most horrible things people do in life, there is no need to judge, it is already done, judging is pointless. I said judging, not acting, acting towards something is great, judging only leads to neurosis and pointless debates. Judging can be done totally neutrally (which is what we call awareness), and this is how you make real decisions in life, and how you make real and authentic connection to people. Might seem totally crazy to you right now, but this is exactly what it is : It's hard to remember that you have to do that at first, because you're caught in the judgments. What can help, is to do 5 minutes affirmations everyday "I will observe my judgments", preferably in the morning.

This so much. Emotions are the key to transcend, if you don't face them, there is no way you could ever be at peace and grow in your life (at least not in the right direction). You probably can have an awakening without facing your emotions, but realizing your enlightenment ? No chance in hell. -

You can be around people, it's just extremely hard at first Humans are wonderful when you look at them without any labels, so much life in them, so much depth. No wonder why relationships are so much valued, it is just so amazing to just look at your partner in the eyes without any thoughts (it's kind of sad that most people "lost" this after the first few weeks) -

He means that if you judge other people, you also judge yourself. Which brings suffering to you, in both cases.

It only make you suffer cause it was hidden. It only stays painful cause you're denying it. It only goes if you face it. -

Fundamentally you think you're all alone. This is true, you are alone. Except that you created an infinity of you to experience yourself. We called this "love". Alan Watts -

As soon as you realize that you never loose presence, then you can't loose it anymore. You might think you loose presence when you think, but that's just an illusion. The thoughts has just taken all your attention, but presence has never been lost, you just lost awareness of it for a moment (and thoughts are presence btw). When you ejaculate, do you loose the parts of the body you're not focused on ? No. When you put blindfolders on your eyes, do you become blind ? No. When the nurse sting you, do you loose the other arm ? No. You never loose anything, you can't, it's impossible. Some easy tricks to get back to full consciousness are: Focus on your breath Focus on your body sensations Focus on a mantra you learned (like "I am" or "Stay awake") There is a line that you can cross, if you pass it, everything will make you conscious instead of inconscious. Even watching a movie or having sex, playing games or listening to music, reading, or talking Nothing will shake your sense of presence anymore, it will be your natural state of being @Max_V Yes. -

Recently I was puzzled by the fact that dreams and reality have no real differences. It's all the same, except that reality "seems" to be our main dream. Everything in a dream appears as normal and real as reality, the only real difference is the time allocated to the dreams. Reality also appears more real because we identify way more with our character, since reality seems longer than dreams, the sense of self is more opaque. If you've already started to drop the identification of your sense of self, you've started to notice, when you're still, that what you look at is as real as in any dream. If you look at a tree, and if you don't labelize it, you start to feel that the tree has some sort of "soul". In a dream, everything has this sort of "soul" energy, everything seems alive, radiant and beautiful, and you often switch perspective and characters (sometimes you don't even play a character). Feelings and emotions are as real in a dream than in reality too, you can be sad, happy, have a broken leg or have your arm cut off. There is no limit to it, and since that you're (usually) not aware of your mortality in a dream, you do things you wouldn't in reality, you just experience what the dream as to offer without any limitation. Dreams that are very far fetched aside (obvious magic and such), every dream you have is just like reality, except you play an another character and that your sense of self is never there. Does that makes the dream less interesting ? Does it make the dream boring ? Or does it makes you more alive, joyful and adventurous ? The answers are no/no/yes, right ? With that in mind, what proofs do we have that dreams aren't real ? What proof do we have that this reality is more real ? The proof we think we have, is that we firmly believe that our sense of self is solid. We have a past, a future, and we think that we will die, so reality is REAL, RIGHT ?! But what if all that was not true ? In any dream, you have this sense of not really existing, but still existing, you just don't think of the past and the future, you just experience what's there, you just are ... Do you remember what it was like to be a child ? Wasn't it the same feeling as in a dream ? It was ... There was no past, no future, there was only now, there was only this moment. Everything was magical, AS IN A DREAM ! You were just pure presence, experiencing life without any assumptions and desires, you just wanted to have fun, to share your happiness with others, and you loved deeply anyone and anything that was close to you, as if they were a part of you ... There was no point to do anything, but we were doing it anyway, there was this ecstasy, this joy, of being there, together ... You do remember, DON'T YOU ?! Remember it, even if just for a second ...

It's in our face, but we discredit it because it isn't a mindblowing experience. Trap #1 of the seeker: Thinking that enlightenment is an experience. -

When you (think) you're ready to surrender -
Simple solution:
-
It's not wrong, it justs distract you from what you really want. You're basically afraid to know the truth, the truth is frightening, hence why you distract yourself with so many things. You won't be able to change everything in one go, but what you can do is replacing some of your hobbies with more mindful one every 2/3 months. Right now it seems overwhelming, but only because there is so much to be done. Don't freak out, you have years and years to realign yourself to what really matters for who you really are. But yeah, at some point, you'll have to stop doing some of these things that made you, you ... You'll have to accept to walk in the dark, without knowing what you'll have to do next.

Why not trying to be friend with women ? You know they are going to present you their single friends, don't you ? @electroBeam Even if everything fails, you would still be able to learn how to be more comfortable and how to talk to women this way.
