From a teacher that doesn't use parabols in every sentence he speaks. -

That's true, except that if you stop meditating, if you stop self-inquire, if you stop being mindfull, then what will most likely happen is that you will go back to your old ways and forget all that. So don't stop seeking if didn't have at least a good set of experiences that proves you that it's not bullshit, don't stop meditating because that helps a lot to quiet the mind, don't stop self-inquire because it will fasten the process to understand you can't be a human being, and don't stop being mindful otherwise you'll be triggered and suffer in your life when shit hits the fan. Even if you get that there is nowhere to go, that doesn't mean you can put the right effort into being that right moment. It only means your mind has to stop seeking, that's all it means. And meditating all day isn't seeking, it is just building the condition to be perfectly synched to the present moment. So in a sense, if you really want it, if you've gone beyond your fears and limiting beliefs, you can force it. You just have to sit and muster the will, it will come when you've finally and totally quiet your mind. You HAVE to want it, to be OBSESSED by it, just don't be it in a neurotic and needy way, but from the core of your being. You know what I'm talking about if you've already have a strong intuition about something. You have to stop seeking with YOUR MINDAnd start seeking with YOUR HEART. -

Find your life purpose, then you won't. Yes it can, you can be mindful all day all time if you want to, that's actually one of the most important skill to develop. Meditation is just for calming the mind, and Self-inquiry helps to find yourself, but without mindfullness you will still get triggered like a child, even if you are a meditation pro, even if you're enlightened ... -
What happened to me this sunday and monday was very intense. I was walking in the forest, then I suddenly look at the trees and instantly started crying, it was so fucking divinly perfect. Later In the walk there is a small river where butterflies and some other insects play with each other, and I cried even more, it was so beautiful that I couldn't get my shit together (didn't want to anyway), it was as if the moment were eternal, and it would always be this beautiful, that's how it felt. Then at the end of the walk there is a park in the center of the forest with lots of kids and old people, and oh boy, it was like I wasn't even there to see anything, it was just like a movie played, where everything was happening so smoothly and nicely. The most breathtaking moment is when I got a short window of no-self and saw it was all one unique experience, everything was godlike, to the trees, to the plants, to the birds, to the dogs, and people, I could have stayed there all days just watching like this if it didn't stopped. @ajasatya @Natasha @Ramu @Azrael @Stoica Doru @eputkonen @ajasatya What do you mean ? Are you taunting me ? ^^

I don't remember if the door was still open when the astral projection finished, that's also something I want to know, if Astral Projection is only on an another layer of reality or it can be on the same as the one we experience regularly. That would explain ghost and stuff like that. @Barna I didn't do anything particular prior to the experience. I just did 20 affirmations that I will Astral project, and I was already tired from work (not too much just mildly), so it was pretty easy to calm the mind. Maybe I got lucky, but I honestly don't think it's that hard to do it, you just need to be open minded and really want to see if it's real. Yes maybe you need to be less neurotic, deluded and ego driven, more spiritual in the sense that your mind is very quiet and open to the 3rd possibility, but even that I think is not needed, it just probably makes the experience to come faster/whenever you decide to. Also, it may be the fact that I don't really cared about the experience, like it's cool and I appreciate the fact that my mind is expanding, but I wasn't like "I NEED TO SEE THIS, OMG THIS LOOKS SO COOL". Just like any spiritual or mystical experience, the fact that you don't really care about it (as a need), but rather are just curious (as a want) makes all the difference, after all, all the experiences I ever had came when I was in a period of not giving a fuck ^^

When you got the insight that you have to die -

Because if teachings were clear as fuck, they would tell you that you have to die. Have you ever heard from a teacher that you have to die ? -

Just so I know my mind is not bullshitting me I guess that starting psychedelics if you have a bad diet and stomach problems, isn't a great idea right ? -
Go see a specialist. Meditate and self-inquire even more, like a lot more. Do the do nothing technique, and surrender totally. You need to go through it full force, otherwise it may stay for a very long time. That's the best I can do from here sorry

I don't really care about it you know, it just confirms the concepts in my mind, concepts that are in a sense needed to not create an identity out of it like the guys above said (well if you didn't make the concepts into an identity too ofc ...). That's what these mystical experiences are for (and psychedelics). You just peel over and over again your sense of self/your reality And you sense more and more that it's just one cosmic joke you play on yourself DO IT GUYS, HAVE THE CAT INSIGHT TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @Will Well you can, it's only a belief in your head that says you can't, and it's not real
-
I would also add that it's not hard to make it happen. If you think about it for a while, it already happened many times in your past, you didn't know what it was back then (and since it happens before or after sleep, you thought it was part of the dream). So if you try to "summon" it now, do some affirmations and some techniques, it will happen almost every time. You just need to be open to it @cetus56 Didn't watch the video, I kinda yolo it What is this ?

The only value it has is to make you realize you can't only be this body/mind. If someone wants to make it a personality out of it, it's his problem. It's the same for every experience, even an enlitghtenement experience, it's not special, and the only thing that matters is the shift in consciousness that last after, not the experience in itself.
-
It doesn't really matter if it happens in this reality or not, it stills happen. What's important is the fact that you really know you can't be the body/mind, it doesn't make sense anymore.
-
Then just do the do nothing technique. You can't let go of a thought that triggers you emotionally though, without getting deep in it, and suffering of it untill it becomes silly to think it made you suffer in the first place. You can watch it and not acting as if you were it though, but you will still feel it, you can't by-pass that. The only way to "by-pass" it, is to go deep into the emotion, again and again until you can see through the illusion of it. That's the only way you can be free of an emotion.

That's like asking a newborn if he's gonna be straight, gay or asexual. -
It's simple, the more you'll dig deep within, the more you'll realize this simple truth. So next time you'll be on the cushion, try to simply go deeper and deeper into yourself. Be totally uninterested in what your thoughts may come up with, and just go within. At first you will try to sense your belly, and you will only sense that for a while (that's ok). Then you will feel your all body, slowly starting to fade with every other perceptions around you. After some time, you will go into a zone of full awareness, only aware of itself. The last part is when you totally black out, there is nothing, literally nothing, and this is when it happens. (It is probably easier to do this in a really quiet room, but that's not necessary) When you're in the "void zone", time doesn't exist anymore, it is like deep sleep in a sense (even though it's a bit different) Two things can happen, either time will fly by extremely fast and you'll "wake up" 5 to 30 or even an hour after. Or an intense suffering will come up and you will instantly flee from it. You will fail many times because you will believe this suffering is real. What you will discover after many tries, is that the suffering is just your mind being confused about what it's discovering. Your mind think it is something separate from the whole, in its ignorance it tries to fight back against anything that doesn't make sense to it. The mind has created an identity from every bit of information it has incorporated in the brain, and since you actually think you are the brain (or the mind), every information that you think are true, forms what we call the "ego", which is nothing else than a collection of beliefs/thoughts. These beliefs are nothing else than a perspective, and the funny part is that everytime a different perspective is presented to you, you instantly bend one of your belief to fit yours, or you simply refuse to believe anything else and fight back one way or another. The mind is really a master to make himself believe it is those beliefs/thoughts. Worst than that, It make itself believe it is a unique being which is described by all those beliefs ... That's true for everything in your life, every time something triggers you, you can be sure there is ignorance there. Suffering only comes from a misconception of your true identity, negative emotions can only occurs when you lost your link to reality. There is a shorcut, and it's self-inquiry, self-inquiry and this kind of meditation that I'm talking about. Now I'm not saying this meditation is the only one to produce this experience, it's probably not the case at all, I can only talk about my experience What you will discover, after countless tries, is what is drawn above, which will translate into: - An infinite spaciousness in your sense of self, everything is hollow - You literally don't give a fuck about everything, nothing can shake you, you feel invincible. - An infinite spaciousness in your sense of self, you are everyone and everything, you are infinite. - An intimacy that is beyond everything that you ever experienced, infinite love, for everything and everyone. You may experience only partially feel these effects at first, that's totally normal and it's explained here. JUST DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear is good. If you can face your fear and see what's beyond, this is what will awaken you the fastest. One of the best exercice is to face your fears even before confronting them, looking deeply into them. It's scary, but if you can do it once, you'll realize it's all a joke ...

No, you can do this whenever you want to. You can and you should practice mindfullness every time it is necessary, which is all the time. Don't buy into your thoughts, watch them everytime they come, don't go with them, just look at them. It's all good and dandy to meditate and self-inquire, but if in your daily life you're never present, how could you expect anything to change at all ? Spirituality is not a temporary activity, it's a way of living. You actually have to be present, not just on the cushion, but at your work, in the traffic, when you make love to your wife, when you play with your kids, when you exercice, when you browse the web, when you listen to music, whatever you're doing, do it with your total presence. That doesn't mean having no thoughts, that means being aware of the thoughts, not being them. Once you realize that, once you know that nothing can change the fact that the present is the only thing there is. You will awaken no matter what happens to you, because whatever happens is an expression of you, it will only fasten the process ... -
