  1. That's why the best leaders in history were god-realized, or extremely empathic and loving That's also why they get shot or poisoned very quickly though
  2. I don't think he was serious
  3. The name of the video: "Understanding patience"
  4. Boredom is a really interesting phenomenon. It's basically you intuitively knowing there is something wrong with yourself. Except it's not seen like that, it's seen as "what can I do to not feel boredom". So we do some activities that covers up the boredom, and we think the problem is solved. The boredom always comes back though, and then we always feel it and say "what can I do now", "something must happens". Is it really that logical to think that just sitting and being here for an 1+ hour, Without doing anything is something that isn't normal ? That only monks and super enlightened people can do ? Or is it because we run away from something, Something we intuitively know will happen if we would just stop doing our habitual activities ? That is basic stuff that everyone takes for granted on this forum, But maybe we should take the time to ponder the obvious once in a while ...
  5. It's really not a problem. You feel more energetic, less sleepy, and you can focus more. He may be wrong on some points, but the general point of really losing fat sustainably by fasting is true (ofc don't believe me try it for yourself). Now like I said intermittent fasting is enough. If you're (not you "you" ^^) overweight and really want to lose all that weight fast, you need to prepare yourself to psychologically not overindulge when the fast ends (by reading good advices about how to do it). A good diet habit is key, because if you have a morphology that gain weight fast, then it doesn't matter if you lose all that weight anyway, you'll take it back, even if you don't overindulge.
  6. Maybe, I don't know. I just know it works for me, that's all I need
  7. I knew you would say that That's not what I meant. What I meant, is that you can accept something, let's say, someone punching your face. You accept that it happened, you don't hold any grudge or anger, internally. You accept that this person is an ass, that you've been hurt, there is no emotional turmoil inside, because you let it go instantly. You may not even judge or criticize the situation in the first place, if you've been practicing for a long time. Externally, you may either beat the shit out of that person, Or not, That depends on many things, your 'level' of awareness, if the situation is really dangerous, if you're drunk of whatever other circumstances. That's a case of being physically agressed, which is a bit different than seeing "delusions" like you said on this forum. In that case you don't accept (internally) those persons the way they are, Which is reflected in the way you try to help them, Which is more about giving a lesson than giving advices, More about being right than being loving. Now, in a sense, I can't know if you're accepting internally or not, But since I never saw you being positive, not even once, then I can assume pretty accurately that you're not accepting internally at all. That you are judging, resisting, whatever you're criticizing (and you're always criticizing, not just communicating, too). Don't think I'm telling you this because I want to "expose" you, or anything like that, I'm just pointing a potential flaw in you, As a friend.
  8. Those experiences are perfectly in line, They aren't told often because that would discourage and freak out too many people. They are only told when it is already too late for the ego to go back, And when it seeks to understand why he's suddenly all fucked up.
  9. If you do meditate, then you will go from the belief that you are the thoughts to experience for real the thing that perceive them without judging them. That's already a step to confirm what most spiritual teachings says is true, it's one of their main and first teaching. And it's not hard, and it's not something amazing, it's the most natural thing in the world. For the rest, you will have enough faith at that point.
  10. I found the video Must watch Rewatching again just because he's funny
  11. You see, I didn't even thought about that when I said this. I was purely talking about the physical aspect (my first gf was an Algerian). You did thought about it, not me.
  12. Exactly, But we also tell you it's exactly that, A story. The only way for you to know if it's true is to do the practice, And find out if it is actually true.
  13. But this shows you're not accepting those things. So you're basically resisting reality. Isn't that a huge red flag in spirituality ?
  14. I'm not advocating fasting. Intermittent fasting just means you don't eat in the morning, and stop putting anything in your stomach after 8PM. Which in my experience was just making me more tired than anything else anyway. By the way the analogy I used doesn't come from me, I can't find the video that explains it.
  15. That's what they says, You didn't have the experience for yourself, so it's just a hearsay for you.
  16. Dude, I never seen you positive on this forum, Never once. You sure you're doing this work right ?
  17. The only reliable way I found to lose fat, Is to starve. The fat that is stored in your body (mainly the belly) will only be processed and used if you stop storing energy. The fat that is stored in your body is like an emergency freezer, this is where the body stocks the excess of energy that he can gather, in case you don't find food in the next days or weeks (of course nowadays it's kind of irrelevant for many of us). The fat that is momentarily stored in your belly is like the refrigirator, you can only stock so much until it is empty. The thing is (I like this expression ), we never stop filling the refrigirator, more than that, we put food in it even when it isn't even half empty. So the natural course of this is that we never use the freezer, And if you never let your body use the freezer, You don't lose fat. All the other methods will never work on the long term, because it completely ignore and deny this simple fact. Try it for yourself (and ofc don't eat shit alongside it), start with intermittent fasting (youtube it) Don't do a fast directly, that is overkill and you will lose your shit
  18. It is a belief for sure. But a belief can be true or not, if you experience what the belief points towards. Directly, For yourself, Now.
  19. No you're right, I'm already planning a solo retreat. Right just after I finally stepped out of the backlash. Stupid brain.
  20. So the best strategy is to stay in the backlash forever ? *taking notes*
  21. Me too sweetie Just leave my banana alone
