  1. A unpleasant experience cannot override hearts desire to live. No amount of pain cannot do it when a person is in touch with who and what they truly are. The fire to live is of God and it is as eternal as God.
  2. Because it's not a natural desire to begin with. Your heart wants nothing else but to live, live and live fully. But people have lost touch with reality. That's when they begin to concoct funny ideas.
  3. True understanding and insight leads to compassion. When you see through everything, you forgive everything because it just is what it is. And now you can develop a compassionate view towards it that promotes upliftment rather than disparagement.
  4. There's only one conciousness manifesting and tasting itself through infinite forms. So when you see others, you're seeing just another form of conciousness just like you. That's when empathy, love and brotherhood comes. Otherwise these things are irreconcilable.
  5. I shifted the example a bit inside my mind. There are people who would go through a similar levels and intensity of pain volunteerily to achieve certain goals just with sheer passion for higher growth. That's inspiring for me. The Mexican torture thing was dumb of course, lol. But the idea in its essence is nice.
  6. There are people with that level of determination for conciousness out there. They turn me on.
  7. The point was not to level out the different degrees of corruption that is happening in different pockets of people but to change our relationship with corruption itself. From condemnation to forgiveness. From enemies to brotherhood. From ego and division to truth.
  8. You're in a corrupt place no matter where you are. Even if you're alone. Because you're yoruself corrupt.
  9. The important insight here is that none is holier than thou. Even when somebody approached Jesus and called him good, he replied, "don't call me good, none is good but God". There is no one without corruption inside. We are all cult leaders. Let the one without sin throw the first stone. See. When someone is in the wrong, don't criticize, uplift them. And own your own mistakes. That is the way.
  10. https://limewire.com/?referrer=pq7i8xx7p2 This one is from another dimension.
  11. The entire world is corrupt including Leo and this forum, big deal. You can still grow in a corrupt structure anyways. There is something positive about the world also. There were positive things in your community as well I'm guessing. That's why you stayed there for as long as you did. No point ruminating on the negative.
  12. Advaita is for noobs of the past. Leave that sinking ship behind. Look up agni yoga instead and the masters thereof. That's the future of spirituality. The tides have shifted, it's time to change your pants.
  13. It's much more profound then that. Desire is the kundalini energy that runs the entire existence. First it finds expression in the root Chakra, desire for survival. After that desire evolves into a desire for sexuality, then it evolves into a desire for a healthy asserted sovergn identity. Then it evolves into a desire for communion, unity, love. Then the energy evolves into the desire for self expression. Then it evolves into a desire for knowledge, understanding and insight. And then it evolves into a desire for infinity. The energy of desire (Kundalini) is the will of god itself trying to find it's full potential within you. It's an infinite fuel that makes up every molecule in existence and it has infinite devine intelligence. Desire is everything.
  14. So it boils down to desire yes. And then what causes desire becomes the question.
  15. You could still boil it down to a single answer <interest> And then you can ask, what is causing the interest to arise. <Interest is a form of desire. > Then you can ask, where does all desire come from.
  16. What causes attention to move to a particular place would be a good next question to ask.
  17. @Judy2 https://limewire.com/?referrer=pq7i8xx7p2 I recommend using headphones.
  18. There's a 30min guided meditation from forgiveness, gratitude, hopefulness course that I could send you. If you want.
  19. Guessing again. You're routine could be missing meditation. Sometimes zoning out, plunging into yourself feels really good and refreshing.
  20. I'm guessing a bit here but if the things that you do are in alignment with what you're passionate about, then chores no longer feel stressful but exciting, thrilling and inspirational. There is also a rewarding feeling of fulfillment that comes you know you did something useful today by maintaining your discipline.
