This. Bhudda was only teaching a few leaves to people. He wasnt exploring all mystical dimensions of life tho he knew everything about it. At least that what I heard about him. That he knew everything about everything and there is some kind of word for these people who know everything. Sadhguru is one of them I think. -
Vipassana.

I think I heard a story from sadhguru of how adiyogi when he bestowed his knowing to his desciples, he made them prepare themselfs for 84years. And only then he unleashed all the mysteries of life to them. Sadhguru also says if I want I can make you enlightenment in one moment, but you would die instantly because you couldn't handle it. The whole point of yoga is not to achieve anything but to prepare yourself for these states. The only reason you're not enlightened is because you're not ready to be. The important thing is to focus on the root not the flower. Flower will happen automatically once you take care of the root. -

Vipassana . -
Being mindful is better then trying to sweep aside. If you try to ignore it then you're only supressing it into your subconscious mind and it doesn't solve anything. It will bite you sooner or later. Being mindful is better but it's not enough also. If you want to be free from these feeling you have to be mindful of them and at the same time remain equanimous without reacting to it. Only then it slowly gets dissolved and passes away. These two steps are equaly important. But this takes a lot of practice and time and proper delivery of a whole technique. If you're interested in learning it, i would reccomend a vipassana course. It's all about this but 100 times more effective then what you're doing now

Maybe try vipassana. It's all about letting go but in very systematic and proper way of doing. All you do here is diverting your attention, or trying to ignore or supress it. It's of no value. You have to learn to accept the reality as it is without reacting to it. I would reccomend vipassana for those who really wants to turn letting go into a life changing process. The feeling is equanimity, non-reaction, detachment, stillness, samadhi.

You can actually try to rise questions to make your attention to stay on awareness. Like this. -

Vipassana. -
As long as you have a single thought in your mind you're bias. Only perfect equanimity is not bias. Only full enlightenment is not bias. I mean full enlightenment, not that self-realization stuff.

Interesting indeed. But i don't think you need to change anything. I think enlightened teachers are aware of this and they adjust their teachings to each individual accordingly. Here's a paragrah of sadhguru saying that a guru always gives a method designed for each individual. Not just man and woman. This is also one reason why you should learn yoga through a master not a book. -

Now that's a good question . But he will probably say. "Self cannot die" or something like that. -

If it was me, I'd be probably be looking for some kriya master. Someone who knows human system and what to do with it. Or some ayurvedic doctor, they also have a very deep understanding of a human system. Stay Well. If it's not getting better for long you can try consulting with an ayurvedic doc. I can give you contacts of one ayurvedic doc who's also an isha hatha yoga teacher. -

@Gili Trawangan this doesn't make vipassana inferior path. Every path has It's own benefits and problems. No path is for everybody. -

Because in self-inquiry state of self-realization there's still cravings and aversions, attachments, still desire is very active and ego is still there. Vipassana is a higher state because it seeks to destroy the ego completly, to leave not a single spot, total purity. I heard Mooji once discribing two ways to enlightenment. One is you purify yourself more and more until you get enlightened. Another is you realize the true self, and then purity follows naturally after that slowly. I like how this guy describes this state of zero desire. Very poetic. -

Yea but vipassana teachers.. For me they're like budhha statues sitting. So equanimous.. I think vipassana is not about self-realization like peter ralston. It's about purity, renunciation, dissolving attachments and ego. What you try to achieve in vipassana is a much higher and harder state to achieve then self-realization. Differerent methods, traditions have differerent qualities also. A devotee would emanate a differerent fragrance also. I'm sorry you had to see that. That's dissapointing indeed
