If you're tone deaf, you won't have the ability to tell whether others are playing in tune or not. But if you cultivate your ears for some years, even a smallest note out of harmony will immediatly sound off and unpleasent. It's the same with humans. When someone is in tune and in harmony with Reality and Truth. That one will sound like a beautiful melody, full of harmony and peace, in perfect rhythm with cosmic unfoldment. When someone is full of bs, only ear jarring noise will come out of them. If you're a really good jazz player tho, you can seemingly play out of harmony and out of rhythm here and there and still be perfectly in tune. That's what "zen anger" is all about. But tone deaf people should not attempt that. Learn to play in basic harmony first at least Your ability to tell who's full of bs and who's speaking the truth hinges on how deep your awareness (inner ear) goes. You can be tone deaf in self-awareness, a totally ignorant person. Or you can be a bethoven of awareness, a sage.

This golden-white light, that decends from god into the crow of the head and down into the whole body is synonymous with Love & Glory. A very unique channel and stream of spirituality that few know about experiencially. If anyone is interested in exploring these waters i can share some crazy knowledge about this Light and how to work with it. A nice picture depicting a decending stream of god's Light & Blessedness Also this. Christianity is full of it. -

@Yimpa no no, that's not what i meant. Depression is simply depression. There're different degrees of it tho. For some reason one level of depression gets labeled as a disease and a mild depression is not. But in essenese there's no difference between the two. Just difference in intensity and duration -

I also believe 80% of health problems people have could be solved just by jogging 10mins a day in nature & smiling once in a while -

I would agree with MAJI here. You can find natural remedies for depression that are much more wholesome for your growth. Maybe add simple 5min breathing excercise and Voila!. That should be enough to take care of most mental health problems. The problem is... it only works for those who do it. And convicing people that these things work is also a big headache. -
Okey, here's your medal ???

The first consiquence of the illusion of seperation is fear. When we feel seperate we feel we can die. And outside world begins to seem threatening to our survival We become defensive. Defensivness can take various forms. We can attack others physically or mentally to protect ourselves. Mental attacks are judgement, blame, shaming others etc. For example when you're in court you blame everything on others to save your ass. And then guilt follows naturally somehow. (Not sure i fully understand the guilt of it all) So shame would be either a form of an attack or a form of guilt depending on a context

Uuu nice. ..... Why is the sea king of a hundred streams? Because it lies below them. ~Tao Te Jing

Yea, this sounds more plausable now. People do tend to pretend to be nice as a subtle ego game. A subtle unconscious behavior indeed that can be found in people. But the only antidote to this is self-awareness and deep honesty to yourself which comes from spiritual practices and nowhere else. Now whether people can recognize how honest and self-aware dalai lama is or isn't, i leave it to them. Im not gonna push my personal perseption of him further.
-
That's okey. I wasn't trying to convince you of anything. Just pointing out how unplausable your narrative of him spending his time learning to become fake is.

@M A J I what's up your butt lol You can’t just barge in and start poo-pooing on everything that is good and beautiful on this planet. Have some respect for people who are of immense value to humanity.

I never claimed he has supernatural powers. Nor do i care if he does.... gosh, how did this get so messed up. I can't even untangle all the misunderstandings anymore, sorry.
-
Debatable. There's tons we don't know about him. His humbleness and non arrogance can be super deceptive to his actual attainments. And i wasn't trying to say he has super powers to begin with. I was saying in general people tend to miss magical things right before their eyes when they're not ready for it. This applies to many aspects of life. When i tell people for example that acim is written by Jesus and u should give it a try. Watching this info go completely by not landing anywhere is radiculitis in its finest form. There are things people are simply not ready to see even if u shove it in their face. So what i meant is even if dalai lama had supernatural abilities. Only very evolved beings would be able to tell his actual capablities. Common people are too blind.
-
? That was neither clever, nor funny, nor anywhere near the right context of what we were discussing. Your insistence of holding a grudge and being grumpy is just embarrassing at this point ? sorry
-
If it was in front of your nose you'd still miss it if you're not ready for it.

it's like you weren't even trying to understand what i meant. When i say transending animal nature inside makes a person much more pure it means that when a being is not ruled by lust, possesiveness, anger, barking, bickering, compulsiveness etc. In that sense when a being is no longer ruled by these energies he begins to function from higher energy, from the energy of love and compassion and inclusiveness. In that sense it's a more pure state. Pls try to invest at least a pinky of effort to understand such a simple thing. You too. Are trying so hard to distort everything i say so hard. Im not questioning that he was chosen and had special treatment. Im saying your narrative that he was there spending all his time trying to become as fake as possible is ridiculous. How plausable is that? How hard is it to consider that he actually spent all his time doing legit spiritual practices that purify the mind and body and that he actually became a saintly person? I was watching a video yesterday of him sharing how at age 15 or smth he was doing tremendous sadhana. Living in a dark room, walking up at 3am and meditating with his guru who was chanting prayers etc. Like that for who knows how many decades. Doing such intense sadhana since age 15 any demon would become a saint.

Celibacy if combined with proper spiritual path and meditation can be of tremendous boost. It helps to transend all the animal instincts of lust and anger and greed etc. And it makes the mind and spirit much more pure. A celebacy without proper spiritual practice can indeed be dangerous and lead to various perversions. If u wonder on which side dala lama falls i recommend u do more research in amount of sadhana and spiritual practice the guy has done. This forum all combined wouldn't even amount to 1% of his spiritual practice done
