The dream has to feel real if its to do its job and I think we can all agree this shit feels pretty fuckin real. But its just a dream. A game even. A good dream will be full of joy and suffering which will lead to a better dream. Ive been trying to jump timelines/multiverses inside the infinite realm of possibilities so I can have the authentic Godzilla experience instead of just watching on the big screen or TV. Infinite existence may be meaningless but it doesnt have to be boring. Looks to me like each one of us is getting a hell of a ride so everything looks perfect.

You can never exhaust the mystery but like everything else in contrast-o-land the idea that you can't know or name God is you putting that impossible mystery there for you so you can find out that you can know - and you can call it whatever you want - God, mind, awareness, christ consciousness, nothing, everything, unity and every other name under the sun.

They'll play the game of ignorant denial for your delight, some will play along, some will get philosophical others might troll but since its really you they all have the same exact realizations you do. And so its the 21st century on planet earth in this solar system inside this galaxy and youre on a computer or phone and talking to yourself on your actualized.org forums on this thing you invented called the internet to have this exact conversation so you can realize you don't really need the internet and others to have this conversation as a way to remind yourself that infinity is whatever you want it to be and you want it to be good (you don't need to drag this world along with you). When you're ready, the mountain will move when you tell it to. But much like sex, the conversation is better and thus the ideas and possibilities are better, when you're on the outside of inside.

The video is almost two hours long yeah. I didn't say that was your fault. I just don't see how a 30 second clip of Alex Oconnor agreeing with the same science Leo agrees with really adds anything to the larger conversation. Especially if you just point to it and don't expand on the significance of it (hint: there is none). "Leo fans" should be beyond that kind of intellectual torpor but I could be being overly generous in my assessment. On the other hand, I think people should be able to do what they want with their bodies and if they want to drop a few pills of ecstasy or tabs of acid at a forest rave two times a year to have a communal spiritual experience that makes mundane human life more enjoyable then more power to them. If you want to do 4 hardcore mushroom trips a year and you're both responsible and capable then where's the harm?

It could be faked though. Not every real account is from a traumatized person either. I'm just biased on the matter. Maybe 1 in 25 NDE stories is a real account containing a seed or two of truth someone would find useful or helpful.

The point was this forum isn't the bastion of enlightenment (or epistemic rigor) one may expect it to be and since that's the case you shouldn't be surprised to see the level of resistance you do when you strip all the superfluous bullshit away from "The Good News". It depends on the drug and the frequency with which you indulge. You probably want to steer clear from cocaine, meth, crack and heroine for example. You can accidentally run into fentanyl or dangerous synthetics with a variety of other kinds of substances so learn how to test stuff and/or only buy from super reputable sources. You can almost never go wrong with weed unless your one of those people who just cant handle it. Other than that, most everything else has its value in moderation. MDMA, which is a tricky one for me since I love that shit, can have benefits if you use it a handful of times a year. Everyday use is where these things become a problem. So if you dont have any history of addiction and dont have an addictive personality, then feel free to have the experience you want to have. Just dont lose yourself in it because thats a real risk.

Those things are possible so I can understand your trepidation. So it sounds like its the fear of the unknown then which Im guessing is the ego hanging on for dear life during those episodes. That's why psychedelics are recommended because the ego is usually curb stomped and given no choice. I wish I could be of more help but I would just try and call about the knowledge gained during your peak psychedelic experiences - everythings going to be okay no matter what happens.
