  1. Interpretting the semantics is counter-intuitive ( doesn't make sense ) here because "thought-free" is an unconditional negation. This specific type of experience is "not-having". It's lacking. The associated sensations, the impression in memory, the experience, occurs after the "not-having". Is there desire to feel it? Is there curiosity? If so, maybe explore this "not-feeling"? If not, it's irrelevant
  2. inquiry ( a type of thought ) arises from the contrast.
  3. There is no demand without thought. There's inquiry from the absence of thought.
  4. It belongs to a category of relationships: Tension <<<>> Release. As the grass grows the tension builds. Once it's cut the tension releases. The same energetic principal can be found in many situations. It's very useful. It inspires.
  5. You've mentioned relationships twice. You're answering your own question. After enlightenment, carrying water and chopping wood possesses eternal significance, if not, the enlightened wouldn't choose to do it.
  6. Have you considered the difference between clarity and enlightenment?
  7. But seriously, it reminds me of a Buddhist path: conquering the "poison" of delusion/ignorance.
  8. In general it comes in two forms: impulse and reflex. Metaphorically it's referred to in English in the pejorative as a "knee-jerk-reaction", with no valence as a "snap-judgement", in the superlative as an "epiphany". It feels like lightning striking. It can only be referred to in restrospect.
  9. Philippians 2: 6-8 + Deuteronomy 4:39 Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God, something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness, and being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death even on a cross. Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, the Eternal-One is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath; there is nothing else.
  10. Page 1302: The Encyclopedia of Taoism Vol2: m–z "ziran" 自然 “so of its own”; spontaneous, spontaneity As an adjective, the term ziran means “spontaneous,” “natural,” “so of its own,” “so of itself.” As a noun, it denotes spontaneity, naturalness, the things as they are. It is a synonym of zizai 自在 (self-existent) and ziyou 自有 (self-produced), and is very close in meaning to zide 自得 (self-attaining) and ziwei 自為 (working by itself, doing spontaneously).
  11. "Don't think about water" is the same as "Defining God" because: if God is the one sustaining each and every definition, each and every border, each and every dividing line, each and every distinction, then, when the mind attaches to any definition of it, "God", metaphorically skips away, in-between the definition and its contra-distinctions which renders the definition, at best, incomplete. Which is a fail.
  12. Let's play a game. There's only one rule. Don't think about water. ... You lose. ... That's why defining God is a fool's errand.
  13. "Loose" terminology is necessarily for probing into unknowable-territory.
  14. 3:109 "... To Allah belongs whatever ( مَا - LINK ) that is in the heavens and on earth." Possessing attributes isn't the same a projecting attributes. Correspondence isn't necessarily parallel-o-mania. Only humans? Why stop there?
  15. "God doesn't..." describes an incomplete being. Incomplete is not infinite.
  16. It's better to be calloused than full of shit. Sure. Maximize others <<>> Minimize yourself Maximize yourself <<<>> Minimize others It's a pivot.
  17. no, not full of shit. calloused. insensitive, naturally
  18. Yes. The physical is rigid, normal, boring... mundane. The sparkle of life is intangible, beyond the physical. The magic of life is in relationships. Depends on the barista, but, in brief I experience a twinkle in the their eye and genuine desire to serve. ease confident aware caring thoughtful playful existence is physical reality is much more distinct? yes separate? no ... like soap bubbles, "as close as close can be" What's happening within your own inner-world? Sounds like you're in a rut. well. let's see. Most often I find myself preaching/teaching optimism. It's absolutely how I live my life. I don't like to talk about it, but, I'm going thru a divorce. It's awful. On a daily basis, out of necessity, I am seeking alternatives, opening myself to opportunities, with absolute faith, "If this way sucks, there's always another way." making vessels for light it feels like ... I don't know. "squishy" in a good way? imagine a huge gym mat. super-squishy. like the worlds biggest shock-absorber. but also, very sensitive. like the a glassy pond, in stillness While listening, I close my eyes, become the sea, and vibrate At some point, there was a big-bang, and I've been "pulsing", for lack of a better word ever since. I am not a "thing". I am the confluence of my affinities, aversions, talents, and flaws... with a pulse. My given name is Daniel. I go by Ziran because I like to do things naturally. It's "blossoming". Like petals on a flower. A nested chain of interdependent happenings. Nested like Russian dolls, like hand-in-glove. A nearly infinite chain-of-chains. Each link is a moment, a record, in nearly infinite database.
