Saying that “knowing is an illusion” doesn’t justify giving completely different answers to the same fundamental question. That’s not wisdom, that’s inconsistency.

Dude, are you seriously asking whether there is a creator? You’ve been on this site for a long time, and you’re asking questions that beginners would ask. It doesn’t make sense. You know very well that you’ve previously shown a much deeper understanding of these topics. I’ve seen you write thoughtful and intelligent things about existence, which is why this feels confusing. Now it comes across as if your tone has shifted in a different direction, and it feels inconsistent with how you used to express yourself. You need to be more clear and grounded in what you actually think instead of writing in a way that feels contradictory or unfocused. Sometimes it even makes me wonder if someone else is using your account, because you’re asking things you seemed to already understand months ago.

I don’t understand how there are still people asking about this on this forum. It’s so obvious. It feels like the level of awareness here on the forum is just getting lower and lower every day, yet people keep asking questions as if the website has only existed for a week. This has to stop. It’s ridiculous.

I am grateful because I know that peace, the sense of wholeness, exists in experience, not in any form. Presence itself is peace, and it can never disappear. You may think you will miss memories, forms, material things, sex, everything that seems available, but in truth, all the ego ever seeks is presence.

Just watched the new Spider-Man trailer and I’m curious what everyone else thinks about it. What stood out to you guys? Did you like the tone or did it feel off? Also, do you think this will be one of the better Spider-Man movies or just another Marvel film?

The issue with Matt is that he can be very biased and not as skeptical as he claims to be, especially when it comes to questions about existence and the nature of reality. At the same time, he’s very good at spotting falsehoods and calling out illogical arguments from other ideologies. But I think if he was ever fully honest with his own position, and didn’t build such a strong identity around atheism and materialism, he might end up becoming more spiritual, like Leo for example, not in a religious way, but in a deeper sense.

I agree he’s not great at debates lately. It turns into shutting people down instead of actually talking it through. But that doesn’t mean he’s not intelligent. When he’s calm, he can argue well. Right now it just feels like his attitude is getting in the way.

He has one of the most brilliant minds out there, no doubt. But his personality can be really hard to deal with, he comes off arrogant and difficult. I honestly wish someone could properly humble him in a debate, but no one seems to have managed it yet.

Yes, I think it is, because they’re being exposed to something they’re not ready to understand yet. And once that door is opened that early, it’s hard to just close it again later.

Some of those orgs definitely push it in a weird, ideological way. That part is fair. But that doesn’t mean the whole issue is fake. Bad arguments don’t cancel out a real problem. And gaming isn’t the same. It doesn’t hit you as directly. Porn is faster, more intense, and way easier to fall into. So yeah, call out the bs, but don’t act like there’s nothing there.
